Is this only from her first album? It seems like she has a single out every month. ??? It's her first album, she's 15 (or 16). She won 3 Canadian Urban Music Awards at the ceremony held a few weeks ago. She won for Video of the Year (Bad Boy), Best New Artist and Fans Choice Award. "Bad Boy" came out in like May, the album dropped at the end of June, and "Does He Love Me" featuring Foxy hit radio in like July. All of her singles have been pretty good in their own right, but I like Does He Love Me the best, followed by this new one and then Bad Boy. Im not a big fan of hers by any means though, and would never buy her album. z103 also plays a remix of "Bad Boy" that meshes the song with that Shyne song "Bad Boy" and plays the Barrington Levy part as well as some Shyne vocals as well as the beat. I saw that video today, Does He Love Me, and I was pissed Foxy wasn't in it. She is the best part of that song. They shot that video in my cousins neighbourhood, lol. They said she actually goes to a school in their area and nobody likes her cuz she's stuck up :(

What was that song that sampled Tupac? That's the only song I've heard by her.

What was that song that sampled Tupac? That's the only song I've heard by her. That was "Unpredictable". That song sucks, I think it's her worst that she's released. It's kind of catchy but only because the radio would play it quite a bit. This new song is kind of boring, but it has a nice chill vibe. Her best single IMO was "Does He Love Me" featuring Foxy Brown, if it's any song you should hear it's that. I believe I made a thread about it during the summer. Her very first single was called "Shook: The Answer", it was like a female comeback to this Shawn Desman song "Shook". Her version was pretty good, it used the beat of Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones".

Thanks for the link, I was wondering when we'd see a video.
That video is pretty boring...wow...talk about low budget!
I was picturing the video to be set in a club, she's talking about checking the view from the VIP and thats what the song is about..
...so why is she sitting on her bed and seeing other people pop in and out of a room?
Maybe it's because she's too young and they dont want to promote her being at a club at 15 or 16, so the party comes to her, in her bedroom! lol
and I dont understand why they use that same backdrop in every one of her videos, its like the exact same as "Unpredictable", that wall that she stands in front of.
She looks different though, from Unpredictable to now...she looks older now
Her voice is pretty good for a 15 year old, she sounds older, its a mature singing voice for her age, u wonder how it comes out of that tiny body! I mean JoJo doesnt sound 13, but I think Keshia sounds older (and she is, but just by 2 years). JoJo still sounds like a "kid", whereas if u didnt see Keshia's videos u might think she was in her 20's.

Was this album ever released in the states? Amazon.com doesn't have it listed as a state-side review and bn.com doesn't have it listed at all.
Anyways, I think she'll be as big here as she is in Canada if she's marketed effectively.

No I don't believe the album has been released in the States yet.
I saw "Bad Boy" on BET quite a bit before the holidays, it really seemed to be picking up but now I haven't seen it since then. She signed with a major US label a little while ago, which has allowed the video to get airplay on BET. I forget who she signed with, I think maybe Virgin?
I wouldn't think the album would be out there until maybe March or the Spring, if the label is playing their cards right. It wouldn't make sense to release the album now when the video just got minimal play on BET. It would sink to the bottom and probably not even debut on the charts lol. If they want to do it right and want her to succeed then they will have to wait until a single has done a bit of damage, IMO. Anything else would be asking for failure.
I think she could do decent but in the States she will have alot more "haters" saying she's an Aaliyah knock-off.

I like this song better than "Bad Boy" and "Unpredicatble." When she first came out with that Sean Desmond cover I didn't really like her and that wierd Carmen Rasmussen yodel she has going in her voice, but now I tolerate her. I have no idea if she'll have any success in the states.
