This is such a soothing listen and her most cohesive project yet. Cranes in the Sky is my new heartsong.

She definitely doesn´t, it´s just Beyonce cares too much about her own looks, so she looks perfect all the time, Solange doesn´t care so much, she´s more about being independent or indie, which I actually appreciate, but this picture makes her kinda mannish.

"Cranes In The Sky" and "Don't Wish Me Well" are my immediate favorites.

The physical version of this is out on November 18th with vinyl to follow on December 9th. I'll probably just wait for the physical to hear this.

Yeah, I love the cover. Don't agree with the complaints at all.
True was amazing, so I'm looking forward to diving into this later. Although the length is kinda making me want to roll my eyes already.

About halfway through and trying really hard to get into it. It's not bad - just a bit boring? Everything seems very monotonous and same-samey. I appreciate the direction and artistry but nothing is really immediately catching to me.

I'll try again this weekend.

I appreciate the direction and artistry but nothing is really immediately catching to me. It reminds me of an entire album of the mellower tracks on her 2008 album, but with a more consistent theme. There aren't too many standalone greats (no "Losing You" or "Sandcastle Disco"), but it's pleasant. It's like a female counterpart to Frank Ocean's album.

"Borderline" samples a portion of Aaliyah's "More Than A Woman"? She literally only singles the title. Nevertheless it's one of my favorite tracks. Q Tip did his thing.

The album is perfection. Solange and Raphael Saadiq took their time with this. I'm going crazy over "Mad" and "Where Do We Go". The instrumentation is so old school gospel. Master P's interludes tho! Yes! He was preaching. I love Miss Tina's interlude.

I actually prefer her work to her sister's work. This new album and True are better than Bey latest two albums. Solange isnt popular so she's doing the music she wants to do. Beyoncé is popular and she wants to stay popular so she isnt taking risks.

I think Bey's latest is pretty risky, or I'd say this isn't more risky than Lemondade really

I didn't expect her to top her EP a few years ago; however, I loved this from top to bottom. I want to say I felt Beyonce's influence when it is opposite that she has inspired Beyonce with sounds. This one is just great. Her voice just sails on top of these songs. I love that it has a theme and quite black power/strength within the songs. I will give to her and Beyonce with capitalizing on these serious matters through songs and being effective yet spreading the message fearlessly.
The interludes are such a nice touch to the album. All of them give a realness of "the friction of life" as a black person and she is very effective in providing knowledge with a melody within these songs. Solange is the one who should be sitting on top and being praised for her work; however, with her experimental works come with minimum success of what her work honestly deserved. I would go on and say this should win Album of the Year.
Current favorites: "Don't You Wait", "F.U.B.U", "Rise", "Weary", "Don't Touch My Hair" and "Don't Wish Me Well"
