The new band is comprised of the original members of multiplatinum trailblazing band Evanescence, guitarists Ben Moody and John LeCompt along with drummer Rocky Gray, with enigmatic American Idol finalist Carly Smithson powering the vocal reins of the new group. Respected touring and studio bassist Marty O`Brien (Disturbed and Static-X, among others) rounds out the iconic fivesome. "Bury Me Alive" wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as I was hoping. Great first effort, though.
I can't wait for the new album, I wonder how it'll sound!

I'm thinking they'll stick with the tested Evanescence sound -- Carly doesn't sound too far off from Amy Lee. Carly's vocals are a bit more robust. But, then again, they'll be called on it if it sounds too similar (if it works, though, who cares).

So happy they got signed! I'm hoping the music isn't quite as dreary doomsday vibe as Evanescence.

I thought they were going to release a song a month- well that plan lasted- what- a month? since they only released one. I liked the song, hate the name, but I think Carly sounds good with them.

^ I think that was when they were doing the album without a record label.

So basically it's just Evanescence. That's good.

I liked the song when it debuted like a year ago or whenever- it's pretty much the same thing- they added some bits and put some echo on Carly's voice but it's not changed that much- I don't even think she re-recorded the vocal. Good video- Carly looks terrible though in that sleeveless gown or whatever- she looks like she has gained weight- it's not attractive- I wish them the best though

I really don't care to hear Evanescence 2.0 but I love Carly so much! I hope the album has some different sounds than Bury Me Alive. That song sounds like it was taken off an old Evanescence CD and recorded again with Carly's vocals. I know, most of them are from the band, but come on...do something different!

I think they sound too much like Evanescence and I think the comparisons are inevitible.

The entire album sounds like it could have come right from 2005. That being said, Carly is in PERFECT vocal form and sounds very much at home singing these songs. This is definitely a great style for her although I wish the music was a little bit more current. Will definitely buy this.

I absolutely LOVE this album. It floored me.
Don't Leave Me Behind should be a single. But there are so many choices throughout the album. I'm really impressed.

I like the album, but unfortunately there's no Bring Me To Life, My Immortal or Call Me When You're Sober.

The entire album sounds like it could have come right from 2005. I'm going to have to agree with this, although I think it sounds more like 2003. Their sound is very dated. They could have at least tried to experiment their "sound" with something new, but I guess what they were trying to do was to capture the hardcore Fallen fans in which TOD somewhat failed at regaining. The only songs that I thought were worthy were I Will Stay, St. John and Don't Leave Me Behind. The rest sounds the same (especially the first 3 songs). The intro of some of the songs sounds promising but when the body of the songs finally comes in, it all become too predictable/formulaic and a bit generic. As a result, the album really lacks diversity. Also if you listen to "St. John", the second chorus sounds a bit like Lady Gaga's "Love Game." Then the chorus of "Tear the World Down" sounds a bit like bridge on Breaking Benjamin's "Dear Agony." And the chorus on "Paradigm" sounds like the chorus on Evanescence's "Cloud Nine." I guess it's a decent effort for them. I like the album, but unfortunately there's no Bring Me To Life, My Immortal or Call Me When You're Sober. I think that "Sleep Well, My Angel" was suppose to be the "My Immortal" of the album. It even has that same musical direction as MI. Unfortunately though, I don't think that song can even come close to MI which is a disappointment considering that My Immortal is Ben's song, so you would think that he would be able to capture that same moment into his album. As for "Bring Me to Life" and "Call Me When You're Sober" well those are mostly Amy's----especially CMWYS. So there's no doubt that there's not going to be songs on their album that are going to sound like those 2. Although "Bury Me Alive" is like their response to "Bring Me to Life" and possibly "Going Under" too.

Evanescence had a huge following and really good music, Amy held her own, Carly can sing, but they need a hit, and people have to warm up to them being called "The Falling". Good luck to them.

I'm very happy that Carly was able to put out a record. I got the album recently, and I totally dig it. There are some tracks that I'm not fond of, but almost every CD has it's meh songs.

I miss Evanescence like hell. Their dirst album was a huge part of my musical part of my life when it was released. So many fond memories attached to that album. It will live for the next 50 years I bet...
