Hey, guys. I've been buying most of the singles of this era and now would like to buy like one (the best or most popular) dance mix for each single. Even though tons of mixes are released, there is usually one that becomes like the favorite at the gay clubs, the ones DJs play the most and everybody recognizes immediately and runs to the dance floor. And I say gay clubs because they're the best regarding good dance music I don't go to the clubs that often anymore and really miss knowing more about the best mixes out there.
Thanks!! (I had put this post in the opinion room, but I think it'll get more attention here so i just moved it)

"Single Ladies" - Escape mix "Diva" - Karmatronic "Halo" - Dave Aude "Ring The Alarm" - Freemasons "Beautiful Liar" (with Shakira) - Freemasons Thanks, DJ! Is it worth buying then the "Above And BeyoncΓ© Dance Mixes" EP? The 3 mixes of this era that you listed are there. Do you recommend the other 5 mixes. I may just buy the EP for $6.99 if some other mixes are worth buying.

For "Single Ladies" most people went for Dave's. I liked Redtop a lot was well. Wasn't feeling Escape. Japanese Popstars mix (UK) was a pretty cool dub.
"If I Were A Boy" Karmatronic hands down. Lost Daze mix is a little slower and was really nice as well. Another decent option is Redsoul's (unreleased) mix.
"Halo" Gomi by far. If you're into higher bpm cheezier mixes, both Lost Daze and Karmatronic did awesome jobs too.
"Diva" Barringer's mix is very original, though I thought it got messy/off at times. Mig's was my fave, had great energy. Gomi's had a really groovy bassline. Mig/Gomi for this one. Oh, and Redtop's was solid too. Probably the less original one. Take your pick if you can, I couldn't... I've used Mig/Gomi/Redtop....
"Ego" only OK DAC has been released. Luckily, it's solid. Dubby, but solid.
"Sweet Dreams" probably the best overall package. Medicin (UK) did a beautiful disco housey remix. Dave Spoon (UK) did a very interesting, original, minimal laid back groove thing that I can't describe. Gets really beautiful at the end... gives me chills even. Groove Police and Karmatronic were excellent as well, much more mainstream but much less original. Pitron/Sanna mix is alright... but the CDr promo (only way to get it) was pressed with like a 192 kbps mp3... nasty.
"Broken-Hearted Girl" didn't get my CD yet. I'll let you know when I do. Alan Braxe dub I've been told is great. Gareth Wyn and Olli Collins also on the CDr. Lost Daze & Resoul rejected. Catalyst mix on A&B is crapcheez.

I personally was quite partial to the Craig C take on 'Single Ladies'. That was the one that had the whispered vox on it, right? It was a vocal manipulation, but I loved that sound. :)

My favorite Beyonce remixes are Broken Hearted Girl (Alan Braxe Vocal remix) and Control (Redlight remix). It's sad that these are probably amongst her least-known remixes.

Well considering Control isn't any sort of an official release at all, yes it's basically unknown

I loved what Escape did with Single Ladies, but my favorite mix from this era was the unofficial Luis Erre mix of "Halo." The drama is there, the chords remain faithful to the original, great breakdown. Perfect for me.

Smash bros remixed Smash? Heh. Nope, hasn't been released as far as I know.
For Broken-Hearted Girl... def the Braxe Dub, by FAR.

i don't think i've liked anything since the "one night only" mix You're either incredibly difficult, hearing the wrong mixes, or hate Beyonce. Almost every package from this "era" has been very well put-together....

Almost every package from this "era" has been very well put-together.... i hate dj escape and he's the only one doing her mixes that's geared towards the circuit crowd. i've not been a fan of most of her mixes from any era outside of destiny's child. i loved all of victor's mixes for them. i liked charlie's high energy mix of "work it out' and victor's mix of "naughty girl." i did not care for any of jr's mixes of ANY of her songs. ralphi's mix of "irreplaceable" was too mellow/jazzy/pianoey (i wish the mix was more like the dub.) that pretty much only means i like hex's mix of "get me bodied" and the kupper/jones mix of "one night only." surprisingly, i think freemasons mix of "ring the alarm" is one of her best and i heard it at a fair amount of circuit events. i liked ralphi's mix of that but i've only heard it two times out when ralphi and abel played it; i still prefer kupper/jones mix. the only mix of this era i tolerate is aude's mix of "halo" but its still not anthemix enough for the song. i do like beyonce as a pop artist but never thought her mixes were good. the end.

Let me start out by saying I love Beyonce's music, but can't stand her as a celebrity/personality. I think she's a dumb puppet controlled by her father, her label, her sponsors, etc. and doesn't have half a brain in her head - like a black barbie doll. That bit of negativity out of the way, I will say that her single Sweet Dreams blew me away, along with all the mixes. For me, the Karmatronic Mix was the winner (for my club gigs, I spliced in the radio edit since their full mix was more of a dub). Close second went to Groove Police. Not sure what was the "preferred" mix out there among club-goers though. I do know that for Single Ladies, it was the Maurice Joshua hands-down. That one's a no-brainer. I don't know about how well it compared to other mixes at big clubs in NYC or LA, or big circuit events with 5,000 people, or radio mixshows where the DJ never sees his audience. But in Everytown, USA at your typical mid-sized gay club in a regular sized city the Maurice Joshua Mix had it all. It was the first one to leak (by quite a few weeks if I remember right) and it just had that "oomph" to it that no other mix managed to capture. For once he turned it out :)

When you are ready to give comments about a person, please at least do some research to REALLY get to know that person, please do not say something base on what you've heard years go or rumors from some hater gossip websites like Perez Hilton, thank you. I do agree with the rest of your post though.

Well that's the thing - I have done my research, and from what I've learned Beyonce is no Madonna. Take this video for instance, where PETA ambushed her at a restaurant with an undercover video camera to ask her about using fur in her clothing line: Someone with convictions and intelligence wouldn't just sit there like a dummy while the other people have a conversation all around her. Just look at her smiling and nodding like a phony - typical clueless airheaded celebrity. And don't even get me started on the whole Kristine W/Billboard debacle. I will never forgive her for that - Kristine W deserved to get to #1 with "I'll Be Your Light" but was controversally shoved aside for the wretched remix package of Beyonce "Check On It" a few years back, and so her streak of #1's was broken....by an artist who probably didn't even know what a club remix was. Kristine W is the hardest working woman in dance music, doing dozens if not 100's of shows and club dates every year for her fans - how many times has Beyonce performed in a gay club and sang to her DANCE remixes (not R&B remixes mind you)? That whole experience was just sour grapes for me and really made me bitter towards Beyonce. Granted, I've warmed up to her lately (I'll spin her remixes at every DJ gig I do) but I still think she's a tool.

I saw Beyonce at NYC's Roxy and yes, she did do a setlist to R&B versions of her songs, but it was a fully choreographed, well thought out performance, which is more than I can say about many of the performances I've seen over the years by strictly Dance Music artists. The crowd was ecstatic and she talked to us specifically, she wasn't just blowing smoke. One of my favorite treasured club moments, so it doesn't always have to be about the remixes all the time, you know?

I've also seen videos taken by other fans that showed how smart and nice Beyonce is as a person. Btw how old was that? What about I record a secret video of you having dinner and judge you as a person base on that? And your last paragraph explained ALL. You hate Beyonce because she took the No.1 position from an artist that you like. I like Kristine W a lot, no I LOVE her, but hating on Beyonce just because of that sounds BEYOND childish to me. There are so many songs deserve to be No.1 in all those charts but didn't make it. Survivor was blocked by All 4 U from No.1 in Hot 100 for 7 weeks, do I need to hate Janet for that as well? No, I love Janet! People hold different opinions on things, just like you have your opinions, but the clubs simply played Check On It more that week, it certainly wouldn't change base on an opinion from certain groups of people. I love Kristen W, and I love I'll be your light, but it's not like Beyonce bought the No.1 from someone. It's like you are blame someone for being famous. But at the end of the day, you can hate on her for any reason, like I said, people hold different opinions on things.
