I understand your frustration, Derek. But she did appear obviously exhausted during the Oprah episode while performing a mere three truncated tracks. I've seen the Monster Ball. If the Oprah episode is any indication, she probably would've had a tough time performing the entire show. She doesn't strike me as the sort of prima donna who would cancel a show unless it was absolutely in her best interest. BUT SHE COULD NOT RESCHEDULE!? REALLY!? She cancelled 3 shows, refused to reschedule 2? I can't come in this thread anymore bc it just pisses me off too much... That's life, deal with it. There's more important things than a concert. |

I LOVE gaga, but Ke$ha is now the new reigning it girl in pop. Gaga had a great run while it lasted 6 Grammy nominations. More than 30 million albums and singles sold in less than 18 months. Another song about to burst into the top 10... I mean. It's just not true lol. Her album hasn't even been out for a month and GaGa is already outselling it on a week to week basis (and soon will have two albums outselling her one). Sure she broke a few records and blocked "Bad Romance" from going #1... But in the end who cares? Her songs are what's popular right now, not her. She makes catchy pop music that sells (digitally). Her level of talent isn't even half of what GaGa's is. This girl is just a drunk sorority chick that got lucky. The comparisons are mind boggling to me. One went to one of the most prestigious music programs at at one of greatest universities in the country. The other passes out on quads at universities. There's your main difference. Call me in a year when Ke$ha has achieved even half of what GaGa has done. |

Sure, she's got a hit song and album, but Gaga reached a whole other level of stardom over the past year. and she's had 5 huge hits in a row, about to be 6. Gaga is THE queen of pop right now. Kesha is hot, but she's not on the same level as Gaga. |

It still kills me that people are determined to force ONE GIRL AND ONE GIRL ONLY!!!!! to be the successful one at any given time. The past year in music had several popular females-Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Britney, Taylor, etc. I am guessing the next year will also have several popular female pop acts and that list could very well include Gaga and Kesha.

Her performance tonight was not good at all. I don't know what's been going on with her lately but her recent performances have been so lethargic...if she's exhausted it really shows because she used to put on WAY performances at first.  Congrats on the 2 grammy's though |

GaGa was great tonight. Perfect way to open the show. She looked so defeated by the end of the night. :(
At least she got two! I hope there's pictures of her holding them on the red carpet afterwards...

Btw, the Grammy's really should have televised one of her wins, it's the least they could have done for using her to build hype and open the show. Her reaction to Taylor's AOTY win you could see the disappointment and I think most of it comes from the fact that she didn't get to tell her fans thanks on a really PUBLIC level. |
