UOMF Remix is sooo hot and it sounds organic. Makes me like the song even more. It's so saucy! Betta go back to your mama's house. Hidizzyguy's post made my day and I have a question: Why is "me llamo" censored on More Than Just Friends?? So weird.

Listening to Angels Cry Feat. Ne-Yo in high quality definitely makes me like it even more. It's really strong. Hope it does well for her hey. I actually have a really good feeling about it. We'll see what happens ... UP Out My Face Feat. Nicki Minaj is pretty strong too. Nicki compliments it and she's fresh.

I am pissed. Mariah, girl. I just heard the Up Out My Face remix, and it is the third out of four remixes that is the exact same song but with a rapper inserted or a different beat. If the songs flopped the first time, what makes her think the same exact songs are going to do any better the second time around? Because we know she is not gonna be out there promoting them!

They aren't just cut and paste jobs. They have been re-mixed, re-mastered and some of the production value for both songs have actually changed. If you weren't so caught up in how pissed you were, you might actually be able to notice. Two. Why are you surprised, what are you expecting exactly? A whole new project, where every song is re-recorded to a different beat and entirely different melody? It was already made pretty clear what this project would be. Stop complaining. If Mariah Carey's doing such a crap job, go find an artist who will meet your standards. Real easy. And how do you "know" she won't be out there promoting? Checked her 2010 planner lately? Haha. Some people ...

$tephen: The fact that hating me benefits you is messed up. I know you're obsessed with me , but please refrain from all the personal jabs, and focus on the topic. Or kindly leave. I'm sure there's a kindergarten right along the way taking enrollments with open arms, because your behavior towards me doesn't quite surpass grade school. Grow up.

Some people ... One. Even if they have been remastered and "remixed" (hardly), it's barely noticeable to the average listener. I tried listening for everything you said is different and I hear nothing. Two. Nobody was expecting that, but I think I can speak for many when I say I was at least expecting a few some resung vocals and some new beats. I wasn't expecting a collection of rap additions, if that's what you were asking.

B4L²: The "average listener" doesn't even own Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. I've said it before, I'll say it again: for many people this will be their first listen of the songs. "Rap additions"? I thought most of the guests were singers, maybe I'm wrong ... You don't hear any changes? That, for example, the EQ is totally different for every re-mixed track we've heard so far? Ok. Listen harder, because I expect a better ear from an aspiring artist such as yourself.
Get out of your own bubble for a second. The "average listener" doesn't know the album's liner notes, nor are even familiar with these songs. And just because some of you aren't satisfied with this project, doesn't mean everyone else will be as well.
Stop finding something to whine about. It's like a different day, some crap. Tiring.

Pardon me if I want the best for Mariah and refuse to settle for middling and mediocrity.

Didn't B4L² say you could do Mariah's job, only better? That includes studio engineering, having an understanding of mixing and mastering. I'm genuinely surprised that you both don't hear any changes, but if anything it's quite telling.

I really wish you would venture out of this thread and look at the threads about Mariah in the pop forums, then you would really see what "whining" is. Pardon me if I want the best for Mariah and refuse to settle for middling and mediocrity. That is based on your opinion. Just because you think it's mediocre and not excellent, doesn't mean everyone else will share the same view. Did I ask anybody else to agree with me? Did I say everybody else felt this way? I don't recall ever writing such things.

And you saying, "I know s**T about mixing and mastering ... I'm just a singer/songwriter", to me is pretty shocking hey. If you aren't educated in, or at least making an effort to be educated in, mixing and mastering, how do you think - as an aspiring recording artist - that you're going to be able to sit in the control room and sign off on final mixes for your records? How will you even know the difference between a basic healthy or a crap mix? Do you realize how amateur and naive you've just made yourself look by revealing that statement? Seriously speaking, if you believe for a second that you don't need to know a thing or two more than just singing or writing songs to "make it", you might want to re-think a career as a recording artist. That's not sarcasm, it's the harsh reality. I'm not being mean here, I'm just genuinely shocked :o . You admittedly don't even know what you're talking about, so how then are you even in a position to be looking out for Mariah's musical best, or able to judge excellence VS mediocrity?

You don't have to be a master at mixing to know when a mix is cheap. That's an awful argument. I can't identify notes and stuff like that, but I know when someone goes off-note. By your argument, I shouldn't be able to tell, but I can. Hmmm.

If it sounds off, I say it sounds weird. It's really not that deep. I never said I was a PRO ALL-STAR SINGER! OZM0M0GZMZG I've been doing pretty fine up to now not knowing anything about studio mixing, and I'm pretty sure I'll continue do to fine without it. I can judge excellence VS mediocrity because Mariah is middling. Although I do love MOAIA, it's no Butterfly or TEOM. It's nothing different for her, nor is it outside of the box. I'm not saying that I can judge ZM0MZ0MG AMAZING vs mediocre because I sing. Why do you care so much? Creepy...

^ the bridge of standing O wud have taken it nowhere but in the gutter.IMO.
I feel UOMF remix shud be made the first single.AC remix is too slow to take off on it's own...it needs a la It's like that ====> WBT situation to take off on radio.
And when it does,I honestly have no idea how it will be recieved.
