Peter posted on his facbeook that he was going to play one of his unreleased Madonna mixes on his internet radio show last night. I was kind of hoping it was gonna be "Jump" which i only heard one time ever. I was hoping it would NOT be "celebration" or "revolver" so i was pleasantly surprised to see it was "Dance Tonight"-another song I only heard out once in his live sets! Peter has made past sets from this internert radio show available for free download so I can't wait to get this mix! Now all we needs is his "upgrade u mix" and "i want you!" i wonder if peter was trying to get "dance tonight" on i love paris....and i wonder why he decided to leak NOW

Madge should collaborate with him and release an album of his remixes of her stuff, both mixed and unmixed.

He played some mashup of "Dance 2night" in a few sets last year. There's video of that on YouTube. I forgot the name of the song used as the instrumental.
I just heard the mix. It's not as much of a mess as I was expecting but it's not that great. It would sound great in a club though.
Wayne G also did a remix of this last year. It's kind funky/electro-house-ish with a hint of circuit. I like that one more than Peter's.

Not bad certainly, but not what I was expecting from him. I was one of the first ones to get this mysteriously-origined acapella and when Wayne asked me to send it to him, who was I to say no? He sent me a demo version of his mix (I gave some feedback) then the final copy - and he had even submitted it to the head honchos at WB to see if it would stand a chance at release. My cheesy mashup on the other hand (here's a short clip = s208035095.onlinehome.us/dramamix.com/preview1/DJ-MichaelAngelo-Madonna-Dance-2Night/sound.mp3) was using an old Shanghai Surprise instrumental I'd been dying to do something with for years, and it finally got put to good use :) Full verison is at: www.dramamix.com/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=60 and there used to be this goofy YouTube video of some cute boy in the UK dancing in his underwear to my mashup, but I think it's been taken down :( I'd love to hear what Peter Rauhofer did with this one! |

Peter Rauhofer's Part 2 mix of this is beginning to make the rounds. I think this mix is slightly better than the first one. Do you have this mix in full? I never did find it online. I have one that's faded at the beginning and the end. It's about 5:48 in length. I think it originated from DJ Taj's blog. I don't think the full mix is available outside of the few people Peter shared it with when he did it initially. Perhaps it will surface in full someday. |
