Lead single from their upcoming new album "Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice". Hopefully another "Wings of a Butterfly" or "Killing Loneliness". They were classics ;)

Good stuff. Anything better than the #77 peak of "The Kiss Of Dawn" would be a plus this time around. How could they let that happen? They're like, seriously one-hit wonders. The exact opposite of the countless bands who aren't one-hit wonders, but they are.
I doubt anyone still cares about these guys though. But I've been wrong before; I didn't think anyone cared about Seether in 2006, but now they're guaranteed #1's with any lead single they put out there.

I'm surprised you would've thought that since Seether had phenomenal success with Karma And Effect.

I cared about them for couple years, but I only really liked Wings of a Butterfly, Killing Loneliness, and their cover of Wicked Game.
I'll check it out, but with low expectations.

Looking forward to this. Hopefully it will get them back on the charts, unlike anything from their last album. :(

First of all: Heart? Killer? Hmm..."Razorblade Romance," "Poison Girl," "Your Sweet Six Six Six," "Venus Doom," "Our Diabolikal Rapture," "Passion's Killing Floor," "When Love and Death Embrace," "I Love You (Prelude to Tragedy)," "Death Is in Love with Us," "Love in Cold Blood," "Vampire Heart," "Dark Light,"...*gasp of revelation* I've noticed a theme here! Oh, those guys.... ;) I'm having unusual reactions to impending new HIM music. Part of me is extremely nervous, knowing that since the cruelly overlooked Venus Doom bombed, their stateside career is probably finnished. (Extra "n" added on purpose, on the fly! I need to go to bed...) Part of me is thrilled to have new HIM music because I'm a fan and Venus Doom was so f***ing good. And another part of me kinda wishes that Venus Doom would get the attention it deserves, despite knowing full well that the album is 2 years old and that's never going to happen. A new album just closes the door once and for all. I mean, seriously: Passion's Killing Floor? Venus Doom? The Kiss of Dawn? The epic 11-minute (which just flies by!) Sleepwalking Past Hope? Love in Cold Blood? Cyanide Sun? Hell, there are only 9 songs on the damn album and I already ticked off 6 of them! And the other 2 (the third is just a minute-long acoustic sketch) are no slouches either. And the album had a meatier, fuller sound than they'd ever had previously. Reminds me of the year before when the Lostprophets released a cruelly overlooked album of their own where every song was a ridiculously catchy radio smash waiting to happen. (I just believed the wrong lead single was chosen and maybe even the wrong second single. It's impossible to play catch-up after that.) Now their new album has me concerned because the lead single didn't impress me in the least, but that's another story...

Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like a completely different artist other than H.I.M.xD

I like this one, not sure how well they are going to fare radio wise. I've always had a soft spot for this band but they don't usually do much on the charts over here. Hopefully this can break that up a little, it is pretty radio catchy.

Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like a completely different artist other than H.I.M.xD ??? I'm pretty sure it's just you. This is a fine addition to HIM's catalog. Seems like it kind of backtracks a little bit, splitting the difference between the slick production of Dark Light and the fuller, sludgier rock of Venus Doom. I don't expect it to be a Top 5 smash on my personal chart, but it should do well there. Any radio chart status nationwide is just gravy at this point, unfortunately.

This is the best single I've heard from since the ones from "Dark Light." I'm not expecting them to do extremely well though and I just hope will peak somewhere in the Top 20 or so. It's good to see it already went Top 50 on Active.

The album's predicted to sell 20-25k. Less than Venus Doom. :(

And this album is following up Venus Doom, not Dark Light.

They're very popular here in Romania. They had one album which I thought was ok, Dark Light. Other than that, I don't think they're my coup of tea, too commercial. :)
