What channel is Adam's NYE gig being played on? I heard 10-song-setlist? It won't be televized. There will probably be lots of utubes the day after though...

Yeah, there's at least 50 people from Adam's official site going, and that's just one site, and I personally know 2 people with VIP seats who are bringing video cameras. There will be a ton of videos the next day. I'm excited! We've only ever heard him sing 3 songs off his album, so it'll be nice to hear him do more.
If I had the money to fly across the country and pay a bare minimum of $150 for a ticket, I'd go. Alas, the best tickets are $5,000 each and I certainly don't have that, so I'll just wait for Youtube.

Oh yeah, there will be tons of youtube the next day. I love watching the performances from the Idol tour that people took from the audience- Starlight was such a killer performance.

I had amazing center seats at the Washington, DC idol tour in August and Adam was the clear fan favorite. Allison had an off day and still got a bigger crowd reaction than Kris.

I will be very impressed if Adam can manage to sell out or near sell out this audience. Yes, it's 5,000 people, but the cheap seats are $150, and the best ones are $1,000 and $5,000 a ticket. With no other big names on the ticket, they're relying on Adam to sell the place, and if he can do it with THOSE ridiculous prices? That bodes well for him and his future as a touring artist. Not many people can command $150 for nosebleed seats. I saw Pavarotti once and my tickets were $300 each face value.
Go Adam :)

Twitter is saying WWFM was played at BBC radio today. Is that the UK?

Yes, that's the UK.
FWIW, Sony Japan is saying that Adam's album will officially drop in March in Japan, and they're planning some special events around it. I wouldn't be surprised if Adam goes over there to do promo.

Lol, and both songs involve Taylor Swift. She's a snoozefest... TBWM and LS aren't, but yeah, recently she is really really boring. Most boring pop star to ever become so huge...

Isn't the rest of the world though just about as homophobic as America? I mean, as forward thinking as they are, there is only gay marriage in a handful of countries outside of the US- and I would think Japan would be one of the worst.

No, the rest of the world pretty much makes sport of laughing at how ass backwards the US is. For instance, Adam did a few interviews with New Zealand radio stations, and they were laughing at how conservative America is and didn't see what the big deal was, and then told Adam that he should come to New Zealand because there's lots of hot guys there for him :)

I believe gay artists tend to have more luck overseas than here though I would not go as far as to say that homophobia does not exist outside America or anything. We do tend to be a lot more conservative in our reactions though. I am always amazed by media in foreign countries that would be considered SHOCKING OMG NOT WHAT ABOUT THE KIIIDDDDS here. Of course, on the reverse of that some countries are even more conservative than us about certain things (showing ankle is considered being naked ) Everything is on a spectrum, I suppose.

I mean, as forward thinking as they are, there is only gay marriage in a handful of countries outside of the US- and I would think Japan would be one of the worst. Japan is actually very accepting of gays, at least in media (if not in day to day life.) Androgyny is celebrated in popular culture, genderbending is extremely common, just look at kabuki for example, men dress up and play women. Homosexuality may not be talked about as much as it is in America, and I am sure there is quite a bit of prejudice, but gay artists find it much easier to get big in Japan then in a lot of other places.

While homophobia does exist to a certain degree outside the US, I don't think anyone's career in the last 10 years has actually been hindered by it. Sam Sparro, Patrick Wolf, Mika, Rufus Wainwright, Darren Hayes... They're not huge, but far bigger in Europe than in the US. Look at a band like Scissor Sisters, who actually embrace their campness.

If this doesn't do well in Japan and Europe I guess no one can blame it on homophobia then.

Anyway, I love this song. It's funny, first looking at the title I thought it would be a more uptempo, in your face song. Yet it's pretty much the opposite. I can see it doing fairly well if it can catch on at the right time.

I am shocked, SHOCKED at how well he sold. This thing was at #100 for a few days on iTunes, and I thought he'd be lucky to sell 10,000. I'm glad I was wrong.
Nice update today. The song seems to be holding up well during the freeze, which is good.
I also can't wrap my head around if this thing is an uptempo or a ballad. It's one of those songs that I think could be classified either way.

Kworb-are you serious? Really? Every store I went to this week was completely sold out of FYE. You couldn't buy it anywhere.
