#3 on Z100's Interactive 9 at 9.
It's upward climb on itunes is great news...sits at #45 at the moment which is around where it was post SYTYCD Finale. Would love for this to go top ten after the video and Oprah. That is a bit of a stretch but I think that would help a lot with airplay.
I like "If I Had You" but my heart belongs to "Music Again" as the next single!

Just downloaded this. It's a fun song. So much better than FYE, imo. I hope it continues to rise!

Kelly released 5 singles from Breakaway: Breakaway, SUBG, Behind these hazel eyes, Because of you and Walk away. Carrie also released 5 if you count Inside your heaven that didn't have a video. Thanks and I'm not surprised given the success of that album, I love her, Kelly that is. For Carrie, not just her debut album. She released 5 singles for the 2nd album as well - So Small, All American Girl, Last Name, Just A Dream and I Told You So.

Carrie isn't on RCA, though.

Well, Kris has had periods like this as well. Let's not jump to conclusions.

Carrie isn't on RCA, though. An RCA example would be Daughtry, who I think released around 5 singles. Of course that's what happens when your album sales platinum in four weeks, and becomes a mainstay on the Billboard top 50. It's so funny when people so freely use LLWD as the barometer by which to judge WWFM's progress. Especially since so many called LLWD a flop when it was seeing similar updates.

Seriously, there's no need to worry. The Oprah show next week coupled with the video release will probably push this song to Top 20 on iTunes, heck even top 10.

Yeah, the chart below #20 (and even parts above it) is pretty much insane right now...only four songs below #20 are negative for the week.

Let's see if the video and Oprah can get some excitement back. Let's be honest. Oprah can sell anything. It doesn't matter what it is.

^ Same. I live in CT and listen to BLI and z100, and if I wasn't on Pulse or w/e, I'd think the song is pretty big. Most people don't analyze stuff as much as the people here. My mid-market HotAC station has not added this song yet. They are a Clear Channel station and will not add anything unless it is a hit. They have added Kris Allen's song just for AI comparisons only. So other than the one video live performance I watched on here, I've not heard the song so it's not even on my radar yet.

Wow, I am kind of surprised that this is moving so slow... I would say that the label is waiting on the video and the Oprah appearance before they tell radio to up the spins. Then you'll see if this is really going to be a hit or if this song is simply a song that the label has paid a few very big, influential stations to play (and some stations have followed suit).

Per the clips, video looks less generic than the FYE video. I mean who didn't see that type of video coming out of the gates. It was very predictable. Adam the only edgy male star since Bowie, blah, blah.

Then you'll see if this is really going to be a hit or if this song is simply a song that the label has paid a few very big, influential stations to play (and some stations have followed suit). I really doubt RCA is telling radio stations to hold off. That doesn't make much sense. They already started the process of promoting the single to radio; they're not going to say, "wait wait, Oprah is coming up!" and have stations stop moving it up in rotation. It's not like Adam is blowing the roof off with single or album sales right now so that RCA can afford to waste time. Oprah will spur sales of WWFM and the album, but if it starts moving up faster on the radio, I don't think Oprah will have much to do with it--it'll just be the general eb and flow of radio (another song gets moved down in rotation, etc.). Only if that Oprah episode is SO popular that it begins a movement causing massive requests to radio stations do I see a TV appearance making much of a difference on radio. Sales? Yes, for a period of time. Radio? Not unless it becomes a pop culture event. We should also remember that Oprah doesn't cause mass sales for every artist that appears. Her show works to varying degrees depending on the artist. Artists like Josh Groban, Michael Buble or Andrea Bocelli seem to benefit the most--AC/retro/classical artists. Probably due to Oprah's audience. But both Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson have appeared on her show. As have various other artists. Not all start selling massive amounts. They'll get a general bump for awhile and then it dies down. So Oprah may or may not be the cure for Adam. We'll have to see.

#1 on BLI's "Long Island Most Wanted" tonight. This song has at least ruled the request countdowns lol.

Labels don't tell stations how much to spin a song. Labels don't hold the power in this situation, the stations do. I thought that WWFM stalled this week as a result of the lack of top 40 adds on Tuesday. Don't labels push stations to add songs? I don't know anything about this, but I thought that they did.

I don't get the video...is his love interest supposed to be "off camera" or is it Adam fighting with himself? Either way can't say I'm too impressed...but it doesn't matter as long as it's out and helps promote the song/album.
What I can say is that the last shot of him on the bed is the best I have ever seen him look!

I think... the love interest is behind the camera. But I guess it can be interpreted both ways. All I know is, damn, he looks GOOD. That last shot is to die for.

I see it as Adam struggling against his own persona. It alludes to the AMA performance and his expectations of himself and people's expectations of him. It's actually a pretty brilliant video. After the cluster f*ck that was the FYE video, I expected the worst.

It seems like parts of the video are filmed to look like it's from the love interest's eyes, what he would be seeing. Especially the part where he's packing the suitcase, you only see his hands and arms, and at the end when the guy comes back, that's why Adam gives "the camera" such a loving look, it's really just the boyfriend returning.
What's with all the guitars in the apartment, does Adam's video boyfriend play it?

Great video. This is the Adam I'd hoped he'd favor in his career. I think he's realized that most fans fell in love with beautiful, sweet, heartbreaking Adam, not FYE Adam.
