There is absolutely no way that Z100 and KIIS decided, at the same time, to add this song just because they liked it.
THIS. I've never seen RCA so desperate to break an artist. I think 19 must have someone from each Idol season go platinum. They knew Kris couldn't do it, so Adam MUST.

I think 19 must have someone from each Idol season go platinum. They knew Kris couldn't do it, so Adam MUST. Anyone who says there isn't payola involved in this is just in denial. RCA or 19 is just doing whatever they can at this point to make a return on their "investment". They really f**ked up the strategy for this album. I hope Adam does well, I really do. I just wish RCA paid so much more attention (and spent so much more money) for Kelly, because if the time and money that RCA is spending on Adam were directed to Kelly? Already Gone would be huge by now. |

So, they are officially releasing this? Didn't FYE just go for adds 11/2? And didn't they make a video for it? LOL. Desperation, party of 19.

They just got done announcing to approximately 14 million viewers that FYE is his single and now this is the single. Huh? Given his polarizing nature and the fact that even the payola stations aren't giving this a high amount of spins, I wonder if any other stations (other than the "we add all things Idol" stations) will actually pick this up. It's better than FYE (but so is my dog mimicking a siren) but, I don't know, something about the quality and tone of his voice just doesn't mesh with a song like this, IMO.
ETA: ^^^^ Why not make a video for this? It will only be his third in a month. RCA seems perfectly willing to bankrupt themselves, so, I say, let them. If the 150k projection for his album holds true, combined with no radio play outside of payola, anemic single sales and a "controversy" over his AMA stupidity, I wonder how much longer they'll go for broke before they realize it just ain't working.

"already gone" got no help??? What??? Am I living in a different planet??? ... Wasn't Kelly's song the "goodbye" song on one of the most popular shows on tv for weeks and weeks? If that's not a promo and if that didn't help the song to perform so well now I don't know what promo is! :)

She's been on every morning show, every night time talk show, she had the AMA's the diva concert, what more can her lable do to "pay attention"? It's not like she's performing on Wendy Williams, or not getting any promo. As for Adam, I'm really not a fan. Him and Kris both never interested me and I wouldn't give a darn if both flopped and disappeared. And at least he's going to outsell Kris' first week numbers. I have a feeling neither will be able to pass Taylor Hicks numbers anyways  I do like this song though. |

This is OK, but I honestly hate how whenever I hear his music I picture him, and like get annoyed/in a bad mood/pissed off. Image is completely part of the package, especially in Adam's case since image seems to be more important than music with him. The AMA performance was just a heghtened version of his whole demeanor, the way he dresses, his hair, album cover, blah blah blah are just very grating to me, and a lot of people in the US as well. I'm gay, and him being gay has nothing to do with it, if a straight male dressed the same way he does, and acted as cocky as he does, I wouldn't like him either.

Also about the KIIS add, I'm no Adam fan, and very much on Kelly's side almost automatically in many instances, but I do remember when MI was premiered, I believe KIIS refused to play it unless 19/RCA/someone 'behind the scenes' like gave KIIS some sort of exclusive with American Idol, I can't remember the exact situation but it kinda went like, an add for MI in exchange for something, which would make it probably similiar to the situation there is with Adam. It's not Adam's fault, so I don't think we should take out frustrations we may have on him.

^^ Yeah. I've actually gone from quite liking him to being put off by him and I'm not entirely sure why. Like you say, the gay thing isn't even an issue - as a person he's just starting to rub me up the wrong way.
Seriously what is this dude releasing as his debut... I like the album, but it looks like someone's prepared to release every song from FYE in the hope that one of them will smash.

They were playing the song every week for 2 months. i remember the DJ of my local station saying that many people were calling in asking who sings the song cuz they heard it on the show. |
