Radio won't play any single from him, they seem to have already decided that- it doesn't matter how good it is- the Idols go through this every year- will they be played or will they, like most coming from Idol, not get played. I'ts not about him being gay, most of the runner-ups don't get played- even Clay who sold millions, did not get played. It seems they have rejected him, like they have most of them.

Edit: I wonder what RCA had to promise KIIS and Z100 to get them to add him same week after a floptastic first single. I mean, KIIS doesn't even rush to add Pink singing a Pink song...

That's not true. If you release good material and are supported by your record label, you'll get played. If you don't, you won't. It's as simple as that.

Unbelievable this can get an add from KIIS when it is the song on his album most in line with pure pop, it isn't rhythmic leaning at all. This song has grown on me, I no longer skip over it when listening to the album but how can they be on board with this and not other songs about to enter the top 5 on CHR? I guess I am just bitter, but I hope this does well for Adam.

I believe this song will flop...Sleepwalker, IMO, is the only good song on the album and they should have released that.

I agree 100%. clearly so does the public - Sleepwalker is the most popular album track on iTunes other than the two flopples.

i disagree 105% . :) i think, this is the most radio friendly song on the album and should be single number 1. i love FYE, I think it's a great song too but obviously not for the US radio :)

I guess RCA thinks the payola is better spent on Adam and not Kelly. She has the top 5 CHR hit, while he has trouble reaching the top 50. And obviously KIIS should have added AG by now, the only problem is they suck so much.

It wouldn't be straight payola, but a modified version--the label promises something to the radio station to get their song played.

KIIS is a rhythmic-leaning CHR that isn't quick to add straight pop, rock or hot ac songs. They'll add those types of songs if they get high enough on CHR chart, or if the songs are from "hot" artists like Taylor Swift. Even Pink has a hard time getting KIIS to add her stuff until it's high enough on the chart.

So here we have a song that is so clearly Pink, sung by an artist with one flop who hasn't proved a damn thing yet in the music industry, and it's being added by the two biggest radio stations in the country on the same week, the week his album comes out, without an add date.

There is absolutely no way that Z100 and KIIS decided, at the same time, to add this song just because they liked it. I don't care how good people think this song is. That goes double for KIIS. RCA had to promise them something--whether it's an exclusive Adam performance or maybe exclusive access to an artist even more popular on their roster.

I love the song but this isn't KIIS kind of song. And without an adds date is too much of a coincidence.

This along with "If I Had You" and "Sleepwalker" are very relevant and all sound like hits to me if radio is willing to give him a chance after Sunday's fiasco. Nothing else on the album will work on CHR, IMO. Maybe "Pick U Up" or "Strut" but it's a stretch for those.

I doubt that they actually payed KIIS & Z100 to play it but I'm sure a "deal" was made to get the stations to play it. I could buy z100 adding it, but not KIIS. KIIS is reluctant to add Pink's own songs, why would they be so quick to add this?

Agree that the label is behind these adds, big time. I'd guess they're getting pretty desperate - here they sunk huge money into an artist, only to have his first single completely shunned by radio (worst ever CHR peak for a Top 2 Idol). The album is out, the media is hyping the hell out of him, but radio won't play the song... Go for broke, just get SOMETHING on the radio, stat.

Should be interesting to see if other stations jump on this or not. If this flops, Adam is done as a pop artist. I don't see RCA letting this flop though. They'll do whatever it takes for this to hit.

Yeah, this is my understanding of what substitutes for payola these days - the labels do have some pull with the stations, but mostly not by handing out bags of cash as in days of yore.

All the more frustrating that RCA can't or won't lean on KIIS to play Already Gone, when it's #8 on CHR and #1 on Z100's playlist.

They must really be feeling like Adam will sink or swim on this song.
