Carrie Underwood sees a small uptick, enough to make Play On this week's best-selling American Idol album, as Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment falls back 22 percent. Adam's still enjoying the effect of his Oprah appearance, though: His 15,000 units for the week represent a 28 percent increase over his numbers the week before he appeared on the show, and he should easily pass the half-million mark during the course of this week.
Carrie Underwood, Play On (18,000, +2 percent, 1.263 million)
Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment (15,000, -22 percent, 492,000)
Daughtry, Leave This Town (9,000, +7 percent, 916,000)
Kris Allen, Kris Allen (5,000, -7 percent, 250,000)
Carrie Underwood, Some Hearts (3,000, +20 percent, 6.929 million)

Wow, only down 2% in digital sales post Oprah! Nice album sales too considering he is up vs. pre-Oprah levels.

Maybe Ellen helped too, although there wasn't much hype around that performance. But it was a song he hadn't done before. And of course WWFM's increased airplay could awaken some dormant Adam fans and get him some new ones. He was mentioned on Idol last week as well. All in all, enough to keep his sales going. :)

I am definitely of the opinion that Adam's airplay is finally helping sustain his sales. Great timing for that to happen too.
If Cumulus doesn't add this when it hits Top 20, I will be very surprised. I mean honestly-how high does it have to go for them to notice it?
