I actually am thinking more and more it could do well though. That and Sleepwalker are the only songs that have hit potential in the U.S., imo.

This song is much much better than FYE, but I'm still sort of glad FYE was the first single -- I think he needed to come out with some glam and shock value to get attention, then hopefully get radio attention with a solid single. This might've been a bit too generic for the opening single of his career

No sooner than Good Morning America canceled Adam Lambert’s appearance after his controversial turn at the American Music Awards, than it emerges that ABC will welcome Chris Brown for an interview and performance on the show next week.

Chris, 20, will do a taped tell-all with Robin Roberts, followed by a rendition of his songs from his new album, reports the New York Post.

“The network is giving a mixed message,” an ABC source tells the newspaper, “that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault.”

ABC insiders say Glambert was ditched from GMA because he proved — after groping a female dancer, kissing a male keyboard player and simulating a sex-act with a male dancer on Sunday night — that he was inappropriate for morning television.

“He was not canceled over a gay kiss,” a source tells the paper. “He showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV.”

Chris — who is currently hawking his new album, Graffiti, while Rihanna promotes her Rated R — taped an interview with GMA’s Robin last weekend.

“Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage,” says the ABC insider, “It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.”

Rihanna broke her silence about the Grammy night beating to Diane Sawyer earlier this month.

they were not punishing a kiss (the kiss wasn't even cut). they were punishing a new artist who did something they had not planned and even showed them the finger. For ABC, Adam can't be trusted on live TV. If they didn't punish him, other artists would feel like it's ok to go off script just to shock people without any consequence whatsoever.

I'm not CB fan, but there are proper channels to punish what he did, and that's the courts. ABC is not endorsing an act of violence by having CB there.

they don't have to worry cuz unfortunately not many new artists have the balls to do what Adam did :) they teach them 2 steps and they are lucky if they manage to do that. lol

I don't think Adam had any balls. What did he do that is so interesting and OMG!1!11 different? He's just a new guy trying to be cool by playing all the cliches that he believes make him different.
And if anything, he showed he isn't ready. He couldn't sing half right and do some easy dance moves at the same time

... well, i think he does. :) as for the singing part ... it's not a secret that most of those award shows sound terrible on tv ... i don't think he was to prove to anybody that he CAN sing ... he did it week after week on idol. good or bad, i thought it was a brave performance ... i know, you don't and thats ok.:)

Why are people acting like they cancelled for the kiss? ABC was the first network to show two men kissing without a warning (according to my textboox for Humanities) and they didn't edit it out of the performance, so WTF is everyone talking about? I think they took issue with the face to crotch-finger the girl vulgarity of the performance. Quit trying to make him into a martyr for kissing a dude during his performance, that isn't anything groundbreaking.
