I read that Cajjmere Wray also did a mix. I love his mix! There's a vid of it on YouTube. Wish the damn mix would finally get released though! There should be more mixes of this single. Interscope is SO sleeping on this!!  |

I know this did well on the BB chart, but honestly, does anyone like this? I've played it several times and can't get a good reaction. I actually had someone come into the booth and yell, "don't play this again" The Bimbo Jones mix gives the most energy IMO, but I really think there is a lot of hype with this track. Am I the only one that thinks this way? Yeah Its Kelis and yeah she's known for Milkshake, but less face it, this isn't anything like Milkshake.

I like this song because it has a clever lyric, and an actual melody you can sing to. Kelis is showing us that she's got more to offer than the novelty track that was Milkshake (a great hit song, but still, a novelty). While I don't particularly think Acapella will be remembered much in a year, it's better than a lot of the other stuff out there right now, and I think it's success is deserved. Oh yeah, Aude's mix is hot. |

If it matters I think this and its remixes are garbage. I find Guetta's productions (that is, when he's not getting people to produce for him) just sound ugly to the ear. Kelis' vocals are nice though, shame it's surrounded by such blandness. As a live DJ, he's also gawd awful. |
