Since CMT is no longer hosting the majority of listening parties, I'm inclined to keep that section off the main thread. I will continue to attempt to link each album to its respective party.
Let 2010 begin!

Purchase Sara Evan's holiday EP by clicking here. The EP is out to support her 2009 holiday tour, though iTunes makes no mention of that.

^Looks like Notes to the Coroner is dead then. I don't think they even had a planned single from it.

Don't forget about Josh Turner's Haywire, which I believe is coming out Feb. 9 (I'll have to double check the '09 album thread).

Montgomery Gentry's new album is self-titled as is Sarah Buxton's.

What is that? Twilight much... Wow, that is just plain awful. Hillary looks like Fergie. Charles looks like he's about to start flying (ala Nathan Petrelli), and Dave... well he looks normal which makes him look so out of place.

Hmm. from that mention of Fergie, Meet Me Halfway is now in my head. (I love that song.)
OK, since I have taken another look at that cover, I'm beginning to wonder if they had a limited budget for this album photoshoot or whatnot. As of now, I think that it looks kinda cheap and I'm also wondering how much money they got from IRTY (airplay, downloads, etc.) and also, it could've looked better and I didn't expect them to look at the camera.
Well, that's not the thing that matters, since I think that The Fame Monster covers look like total junk. Hopefully, their songs are as good as (if not, better than) their debut CD. That's what I'm truly waiting for.

I also dislike the cover for LadyA.
Kelley looks like he just smoked a cigar, and Hillary looks like Kelly Clarkson more than Fergie to me.

Sugarland's new album is due this summer. I'm not sure of a source, but heard this on the radio.

Sugarland's new album is due this summer. I'm not sure of a source, but heard this on the radio. Source: music-mix.ew.com/2009/11/11/sugarland-album-tour-twilight-news/So it’s time for another album cycle in Sugarland, say Bush and Nettles, who are aiming for a “summerish” release date. “We’ve already been writing,” Nettles told EW before Monday’s CMA rehearsal. “We have to go in the studio at the beginning of next year, at some point.” This is no surprise to fans who caught the live show in 2009, where they were treated to new material like “So Long” and “Take Me For A Ride,” but there’s no guarantee those songs will eventually appear on the album. “We’re not afraid to put stuff out there,” said Nettles, but Bush cautioned, “Some things just show up once in our land.” Another fan favorite, the overtly non-country groove of “Blood on Snow,” appears primed and ready for an appearance on a certain vampiric movie soundtrack. So is Twilight: Eclipse in the game plan? “Call ‘em up! That’d be great!” grinned Nettles. “Just say ‘Twilight’ again!” said Bush. (Twilight.)

I presume since they're already planning on a first single from the new album that means that "Keep You" from Love On The Inside isn't going to be released as a single or won't chart at all.

There's a hell of a lot of time between now and summer of next year so I still think that there will be a single.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they would've released it as a single months ago... If a single isn't sent to radio by January 10th (or at least an adds date announced), then I would say it's safe to say that Love On The Inside is finished. It's always tricky to determine these things around this time of year. I thought that "Little Wood Guitar" would've been sent to radio for November/December, and then a regular single in January. I guess LWG still could get released, but it seems a little late now.

Why even bother? If EPs are the coming thing for the new digital world.... the major labels are going to suffer even more.

So we're supposed to shell out money for a 6 track album? If they plan on charging more than 4.99 (which i imagine they do), then I have no interest in buying that at all; I'll just cherry-pick the songs I like off of iTunes. If this is going to be a quasi-GH album, like Darryl Worley's Have You Forgotten, then it at least makes a little more sense, but it sounds like it's just going to be the 6 new songs.
