Carrie sang the hell out of that song. She won a grammy and made everyone who likes her proud. The Taylor drama is just too insignificant at the moment.

What a way to end an era and what a peak in this new era. The Grammy win finally closed the CR era, but the MJ tribute (which Carrie is seeing lots of praise around the media for) is a highlight not only in this era, but in her career. What a brilliant night.

Next year should be exciting. Hopefully we'll finally see her in the Best Country Album and Best Country Song categories. She'll definitely have a nod for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and probably one for Best Country Collaboration w/ Vocals. Let's hope anyways!

If Quitter/CC/UI can crossover... then we got magic.

What a brilliant night. I LOVED that the reviewer captured EXACTLY what the performance was about... lots of ppl on Twitter were complaining on the song choice (and some on the performers as to why some of them were chosen)... the idea of using the time to spread Michael's love and urge to save the planet was much better than just another medley tribute with not really a message but just rushed performances of his hits... fantastic job by Ken and the 6 performers, Michael included!! BTW, I'm LMAO at how much Carrie's line on the tribute "What about crying whales" sounded like "What about Kanye West"... I thought it was just me, but a lot of people thought that too!! Too funny!!

That MJ tribute was fantastic, and I have never seen Carrie sing with SO MUCH passion. She was the star of that tribute in my opinion.
Carrie's featured in these two interviews with Adam Lambert from ET:

I'm so happy! Everything that has happened since the beginning of 2009 to Carrie just goes to show that she is truly appreciated. She doesn't have to have the biggest selling albums, and the biggest singles to still be recognized. Carrie's career is the perfect setup - she started out huge and will always be remembered. Others start small, become HUGE, and then disappear. I have a feeling that Carrie is the new Grammy darling, and will walk away from the Grammys with at least one grammy for every year she releases music. She may not win any of the general categories, but as long as she stays relevant, I can see her taking home Country awards anually.
She also sounded amazing in the MJ tribute, and proved herself worthy to sing on stage with Celine, Usher, and Smokey. Jennifer did the same in proving herself as well. I'm so proud of Carrie, and I can't wait to see her at the superbowl - when she killes the Anthem, as usual. :) 2010 is shaping up to be another HUGE year for, soon to be Mrs. Carrie Fisher-Underwood.
btw...I hope she keeps it just, Underwood!

Congrats to Carrie on her 5th grammys win and she did all her fans proud during the MJ tribute. I can understand why artists like T-Pain and others want to collaberate with her. She can literally sing any kind of genre, well except opera, and I wouldn't doubt she could pull that one off also.

^ I think she could do opera also But yeah, I totally agree with what you said. She can sing jazz, country, rock, pop and sing the hell out of it and make her fans proud. I have never bought anything Michael Jackson-related but if the tribute gets an iTunes release, I will get it just because Carrie sang that song so well.

I'd pay big money to watch (yes, I want to watch, not just listen ) that.

When are we getting the Temporary Home video? I'm hoping it can help turn the song around for me.

im actually hoping that down the road, carrie will make a "these days" kind of cd collection - bring in different artists and sing different genres etc. she can really sing anything. i was floored when i read that she sang all the way with hcj but i remember she did jazz already on oprah with tony bennett and michael buble and that was kind of awesome too.
as for t-pain, yuck! if carrie would do rap, id rather her do with rappers who are on the higher pecking order, like kanye, tim mosley or jay-z. if youre gonna go all out, dont go for the bottom barrel.

I really hope Someday When I Stop Loving You is released; I genuinely think it could be one of her biggest successes. It would be another country #1 easy and would most likely win Best Country Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance at the Grammys.
