Talk about not going anywhere....it jumped up 16 places this week. While I am inclined to agree with you I can't help but notice the jumps this song is making. her spins icnreased alot over the wek. i guess after they saw it debuted on the Hot 100 other stations started playin it more. because last week she had lost spins at urban before she debuted. But she still doesnt have a huge amount of spins, she is gettin playd on big stations though.

Yes, the song will hopefully make the Top 50, but not much more. Mainly big stations are playing her and this is the reason why she has got so much audience but not many spins.
But a good thing is that the DC song doesn't seem to hurt this one and the other way round.

"DIL" went from #60 to #57 this week. Prolly won't make the Top 50. I'm surprised it's done as well as it has.

It has a small gain of 0,6 million right now (30,1 - 30,7) just like last week. Hopefully it will make the Top 50, but yes, it already surpassed my expectations ;)

This week it is at #17 on the Billboard R&B chart. So B has gotten 4 R&B hits of "DIL". Daddy Knowles will not let this album go.

5 R&B hits!
DIL has a very small bullet right now:
Week 1: 19.776 Week 2: 28.808 Week 3: 29.610 Week 4: 30.124
So this probably means that "DIL" is going to move up another 1-2 places on BB, but if this continues next week and the song cannot increase the bullet, it won't go Top 50!

"DIL" stays at #57 this week and loses its bullet. Will probably be its peak position.
Besides, "DIL" the album falls #76-#84...

Well, the "DIL" era is over anyways. You know the album is out for 66 weeks now and Bee can be very proud of the performance...

The song did a very good job at radio. It's already on the charts for 15 weeks now without even being released! It will probably fall off this week, but it had an amazing run and it's just an amazing song!

It's currently at #138 (moving up from #141) and has sold 3.826.000 copies. I'm not sure about the weeks it's on the charts, probably 75+.

is this topic about the album or single?? is this the 5th single?? It was originally a topic about the "song", but it was never officially released as a single, and that ship has sailed. In case you hadn't noticed, Destiny's Child came out with a group album last month and are on the 2nd single off it. The next solo Beyonce single will be the first from her next solo album, I'd think. Unless we get a soundtrack in between, possibly the Pink Panther one next summer, but that would be OVERKILL (then again, Beyonce doesn't know the definition of that word). And I think DC will probably be on the 4th single off the album then, if not then Beyonce will come right on the heels of that with no break at all and I dont think that's a good plan at all.

77 weeks, 3,825,800 sold. Lackluster sales for someone of her caliber.

Lackluster sales for someone of her caliber. Yep, I agree... She sold around the same amount as Christina Aguilera's "Stripped" did, and Beyonce had 2 #1 long-running smash hits on the Hot 100, plus another two that went Top 5. Christina only had one big "hit" off Stripped and it only peaked at #2 on the Hot 100. Beyonce has been everywhere, she won every award possible, blah blah blah. She should have at least sold 5 million with all she did with that album.

She should have at least sold 5 million with all she did with that album. Christina did do top 20 with all of her singles at her core format. Christina also had five singles. Sales have been progressively lower each year since 2000. To sell records all you need to do is get hits at your core format. Celine Dion has taught us this lesson already. Getting a hit on the Hot 100 is icing on the cake. Once singles have prominence again then it will be more of a factor relating to album sales... but truthfully I think that over time the market will again become more of a singles market which it really should be if you want optimal album and singles sales.

Well, Beyoncé will pass the 4 million copies mark some time next year and this is the most an R&B/Hip Hop artist can sell (if you are not Usher or 50 Cent). Just tell me which female R&B artist sold more than Bee? Mary J. Blige? Mya? Brandy? Monica? Blu Cantrell? Ciara? NO!

Female artist dont really seall as much anymore unless your audience is of a wide range. (Shania Twain and Norah Jones). Usher and 50 Cent definately used their sex appeal. About every little girl bought their albums. Beyonce cant get evry little boy to buy her album, because well.. shes a girl. So Beyonce had more girls while 50 and Usher had those girls and boys. But yeah she did good. She had the 6th highest biggest album and the 2nd highest female album last year behind Norah. The same happened with Alicia. I thought she would have at least sold 5 million buy now, especially with her big sales week last year around Christmas, but she hasnt even sold 4 million yet. So she did good as well as Alicia (just brought that in)

^^ 50 Cent has sex appeal? That's news to me...any female who's attracted to that gorilla-faced person needs help! He really does look like a gorilla! Same with Usher, he looks like a platypus...but Usher, I can see more than 50. Christina also had five singles. True, but Beyonce had like eight. Maybe not "official" singles but hell the Dangerously In Love song and video got enough airplay it can be considered a single. Let's not forget she was also on Jay-Z's hit Bonnie & Clyde shortly before her album came out, plus the Urban AC/AC hit with Luther "Closer I Get To You".

I didn't know platypuses had such nice abs But seriously, Beyonce had 4 official singles and 2 other songs from her album that got significant airplay. Bonnie & Clyde and Summertime were also pretty big (last fall I think I heard Summertime every single day on the radio on the way home from school), but since neither of those were on her album, I don't see how they could be expected to drum up a lot of sales.

Well, I just meant Usher's face looks like a platypus...that or a smushed California Raisin with a ginormous nose
Wasn't Bonnie & Clyde a bonus/hidden track on her album? I thought it was...

Wasn't Bonnie & Clyde a bonus/hidden track on her album? I thought it was... Maybe outside of the US, but the only bonus track on my copy of the CD is that corny "Daddy" song.
