the only single from her 8th album "No Sound But A Heart" released in 1987 which was received a very limited North American release before being shelved altogether. The single flopped horribly it didn't chart on the Hot 100 or bubbling under but the song & video did receive some minor airplay. This was her last album with EMI before she moved to RCA
the only reason i know this song is because my dad was a DJ and he had received the 12" single and the album. I see why this was released as a single it's probably the best thing off that lackluster album it's like Sheena recorded the album just to fulfill contract obligations or something.
This was written by Prince and i thought the song was written by him because it sounded that way but i wasn't sure either way it sucked the way this song flopped it's actually not that bad.

I recently stumbled across the 12" of this. It's still a good song.

This is one of my favorite singles by Sheena. It's no surprise that it flopped though. Prince himself probably wouldn't have turned this into a big hit.

The lead single from 1987's No Sound But A Heart, written and produced by Prince. The album was ultimately not released in America due to her label getting absorbed into another part of EMI, and Sheena moved to MCA where she would make The Lover In Me.
I love this. The songwriting and production is quintessential Prince when he was throwing out songwriting and sonic gold left and right.

This one is okay. From that Sheena album, I really like the song Still In Love, which Patti LaBelle would later record on her album Be Yourself, which also featured Love 69, a song written by Prince and Sheena.

Love this song! I love most of the songs from No Sound But A Heart and The Lover In Me.

Another Prince-composed song from 1987. Pretty good tune - had the misfortune of being released as her record company was being absorbed into another so it got very little promotion and did nothing on the charts. You can certainly tell it is a Prince tune. Nowhere as great as 101, but still pretty good. Chaka Khan recorded this - not one of her better songs in my opinion. Sheena definitely had the Prince vibe going on.
No video ever made that I'm aware of.
