1/9/10 is for the chart week ending this Sunday

#1 has been in the upper 100s low 200s all year long. I doubt it will jump tp 450K because it is Ke$ha

I made a mistake -- it was not 450k last year, it was 418k for Gaga. The year before I think was 467k for Flo Rida.

Sales this week include Christmas day and 2 days after Christmas. I would expect this to be the bigger week. Last year was Christmas + 3 days, and that was the largest week (chart date 1/10/09). The week after the #1 lost 30% and had just under 300k. In 2007 the stars aligned for Flo Rida as the sales week was dated 1/12/09 and included only one pre-Christmas day (the next week he fell 50%).

Christmas 2008 (3 post-Xmas days): Lady Gaga 418k (+190%) then 293k (-30%)
Christmas 2007 (5 post-Xmas days): Flo Rida 457k (+163%) then 232k (-50%)
Christmas 2006 (6 post-Xmas days): Fergie 295k (+??) then ???

We may see this week and next be fairly close, but I'd still say this will be the bigger week, with maybe a 20% drop the following week. I would guess the #1 will be at least 350k.

But it only includes pop airplay, and obviously Jay Z gets a lot from Urban/Rhythmic so that's the reason for the difference.
