This is getting a LOT of airplay in NYC and other smaller Northeast cities. It's currently #1 on WWPR's playlist, with over 7 million in audience from that station alone.
It's a soca track, but is sounds MUCH more island than Kevin Lyttle or Rupee. It actually sounds really out of place on the radio, but with summer coming it'll be interesting to see if other stations jump on it.

This is nowhere near a Soca track. I'm really feeling this song. Someone told me it's actually old and that the US is just starting to pick up on it. I wouldn't be surprised considering that's what happened with Kevin Lyttle.
It's been Bubbling Under on my PC. It might [DEBUT] this week.

This is nowhere near a Soca track. It doesn't really sound like the type of soca I'm familiar with either, but for awhile each time Power 105 played it they introduced it as "New Soca From I-Wayne!"

Does anyone have a link, or PM me one? I've heard a lot about this track, and I'm really into soca/dancehall music. It sucks how NY gets all the hot tracks first. It takes a yr to get to Texas.

It sucks how NY gets all the hot tracks first. It takes a yr to get to Texas. That's true. I was hearing "Goodies" here for two months and when I went to Florida they still hadn't heard it. Then when I was over there it started getting airplay. That's why this is such a good board because of things like that.

Though I've heard this several times already, I only just realized one of the lines of the hook is "so from the prostitution work she won't retire." Wow. Apparently this song is about falling for a prostitute (and one with an STD at that). :o
This song has grown on me though.

Finally heard this, and its a great track. Its more old-school soca or calypso sounding, unlike the more upbeat stuff today. Similar to Jamrock, I don't see this doing a thing anywhere past NY.

There is a new remix out for this on a hot new roots riddim produced by Chris Birch called "Cry Baby". I like it a lot better than the original. This riddim could be the next Drop Leaf if decent artists record on it, and promotion are done correctly here in the US.

This song sucks to me now. They've been playing the shit out of it all summer on NYC radio. I've had enough. The song is not that good. It's annoying.

That's pretty weird...you heard "Goodies" all the time up North but you went down South and didnt hear it at all? That doesnt really make sense, because I thought the South was the first to really catch on to "Goodies" and thats what spread to the rest of the country. The South was bumping Goodies because it was a Lil' Jon crunk track, and then it took off everywhere else. I remember going to Florida that summer and Goodies was always on the radio, but it hadn't took off here at home but when I got back they were starting to play it.
