^ Yes since August 2007 the Hot 100 has included Yahoo & AOL streams but that accounts for just 5% of totals. Radio accounts for 55% and Sales the other 40%. Those figures are probably outdated -- and aren't really useful anyway, since every song is different. At this point sales probably make up much more than half the chart points on average. For example, I don't think a #1 song has had more airplay points than sales points since early 2007.

Congrats to Cage the Elephant with No Rest for The Wicked since the song reached just #83 on Hot 100 it still received a gold record for selling over 500k single copies. Really cool too bad pop radio still had not taken indie artist seriously yet.

Does anyone know if Sex is on Fire eligible to re-enter Hot 100 since there is new radio interest in song?

What's with the sudden re-interest in Pink's "Funhouse"? I know it peaked just outside the top 40 a few months ago and then it disappeared altogether, but now it's back?

"I Gotta Feeling" sure is having the longevity, isn't it?
The Chipettes so close to the Hot 100. :)

So the fact remains that acts like gwen who bloomed at a higher age can still connect to young fans. No doubt has had hits since the mid 90s but her solo career just took of not too far back. And mariah has always been trying to cater to a younger fan base she always dresses like a hoochie Don't forget 40+ Jamie Foxx almost hit #1 last summer with Blame It. And didn't that feature a younger act?

"Paparazzi" hanging around as it is also is impressive, with "Bad Romance" doing as well as it is. I recall those saying what a letdown it was when BR debuted in sales with "just" 140K or so (whatever it was)- just shows that you can't always judge a track's performance by its debut. :)

GaGa will be #1 next week Unfortunately she won't unless she regains #1 on iTunes fast. Tra$ha is safe for a little while.

No, GaGa won't be #1 on the Hot 100 next week. Ke$ha is #1 (and #2 with Blah Blah Blah) on iTunes and the album release should give a boost to Tik Tok, since there's another version charting in the top ten on iTunes.
