why is toxic an optional extra?

Interesting list, jayman. What was the methodology used to compile this? It, obviously, isn't spins (as evidenced by the fact that "Just Dance" isn't on the list, despite "out-spinning" "Poker Face", "Boom Boom Pow", and "I Gotta Feeling" on the "real" Mediabase chart). One thing that is obvious to me is that all 40 songs were #1s and that the order is, very loosely, based on weeks at #1. But there is, evidently, some other formula in play here. There are, probably, a few songs that I would consider to be "glaring omissions" (I find it hard to believe that "Hanging By A Moment" would miss the top 40 of Mediabase's actual decade end list).

I've revised the decade chart to be more Mediabase "spin" friendly, since the other countdowns shows are doing the same.
