Um, weren't most of those songs already Gold songs? (I know that Five For Fighting was)

Um, weren't most of those songs already Gold songs? (I know that Five For Fighting was) R&R had already moved about half of those to gold several months ago, but Mediabase just moved them to gold today. I guess R&R was tired of waiting.

Similar activity happened on nearly all of the format charts. Maybe this is a scheduled "purge" of songs??

Yeah, it does seem like an intermittent thing with Mediabase.
I would think it quite easy to do this with their sophisticated database, but I wonder if they even have a policy for when recurrents become golds. Maybe the person with this responsibility just does it when he/she feels like it.

looks like all but country charts, wonder why? Similar activity happened on nearly all of the format charts. Maybe this is a scheduled "purge" of songs??
