Out this week from Billboard.biz.
Ties in nicely with the new Rehab and Everlast singles coming out. Although I'm not so sure that's a good thing.

Top 50 at Alternative:
56 48 BROKEN BELLS High Road 153 106 47 0.689
This is a collaboration between James Mercer (of the Shins) and Danger Mouse.

Not a fan of either, but together they've made a catchy enough song.

This is really starting to rocket up now, I've noticed.

took me a little while to get into but now its rocketing up my personal chart now. It's ironic that shadowscorp called it a sleeper hit because it sure has a sleepy feel but its perfect modern mood music.

I never really liked this one, but my fiancee happens to absolutely love this song and AltNation on XM seems to have a huge boner for it, so I've been hearing it a lot on there while being in her car. I think I've sort of warmed up to it. It's a little catchy and quite mellow, but nothing I'd still really sneeze at.

My local Alt station has added this to their heavy rotation. It's not a bad song, it's just kind of sleepy sounding. I can't remember anything about it besides a line in the chorus being "The high road."

Though it's certainly not something my Alt station would add to their playlist ( ), I've heard it enough this year through other means that I'm already over this song. And it's kinda pissing me off that it's all of a sudden exploding with triple-digit spins, like it's a new recipient of payola, like "Animal" and "Mountain Man" sure seemed to be. Like, if it had taken off like this a long time ago, when it should have, I'd have been rooting for it, but at this point, it's too late to seem logical.

One of the few Indie songs charting on Alternative that I like. Glad it has gone as far as top 10.

This is the best James Mercer has done on the Alternative chart, and it wasn't even with the Shins.

What's the next single? I'm hoping for 'October'

I know I'm late to the party, but this joins "Little Lion Man" and "Trinity" to form a 'trinity' of more indie-leaning alternative songs that I'm rooting for. I just don't get how Neon Trees goes top 3 and potentially higher while these gems have failed to match it (though LLM still has hope).

Don't care for Lion Man and Trinity at all, but this has really grown for me. The new Arcade Fire singles fit in this category nicely for me.
