This song has been getting Urban and CHR/Rhythmic adds left and right and is easily her most played non-single track. I thought this would be one of the last songs that could end up as a single, but it looks like radio is calling the shots. Fantasia may have a smash anthem on her hands.

I like this.
It may be kind of silly to some people, but it's one of the songs that stood out when I heard her CD.

This is going to be THE anthem of 2005. J Records needs to go ahead and release this officially. I smell a #1 across the board hit!!

Fred Bronson gave this song a spotlight in his Chart Beat column on Billboard around the first of the new year. It's the one he wanted to see a hit single.

I absolutely detest this song, and as much as I would hate to hear it on the radio, this song would be able to give "Miss Independent" a run for its money. Its blowup potential is huge.

This weekend is "Baby Mama" weekend @ SF's 106 KMEL! :) "Baby Mama" plays in the commercial. It's like a badge of honor to be a baby mama!

My choice from the album would be "Selfish (I Want You 2 Myself) with Missy Elliott and co-written by Missy.
It just jumps out at you.

Is there a chance if you city plays a song early and when the song is actually added that they might not play it anymore since they have already played it alot in the past? ???

My choice from the album would be "Selfish (I Want You 2 Myself) with Missy Elliott and co-written by Missy. It just jumps out at you. I don't know why everybody says that. I always thought it sounded like a cheap "1-2 Step" or something minus the fact that Fanny can sing. It's catchy, but I've never thought single material. "Baby Mama" and "It's All Good" are killing it IMO.

This topic should be moved to Urban. It's #50 with a +246 bullet on Urban and has a huge bullet at Urban AC too. It gained a few million more audience in one day and already has 14M audience at radio.

At first I was not really thrilled by the world-wide response of this song. I guess Fantasia has hit the nail on the head with this. I debuted the song at #21 on the station chart and I may move it into hot rotation next week.
"I am Baby Mama....hear me roar.....with attitude! Holla!" (this quote not in the song, but something Fanny would proudly say--like Helen Reddy is to I Am Woman).
