bigham: As noted, the live LAP's sales will be tracked separate from any previous versions. And, the 51K figure was VERY incomplete. How difficult is it to fix a tracking error? Must be a lot, as it's been almost four-and-a-half years. lol Hopefully bks has some info (or, I've also inquired to Billboard's Silvio on the matter- he said he will look into it). RE the records- they're always going to be broken by someone- what's that old saying, again? It's now at 77,108 not including the Haiti version which sold 8,240.

Thanks, bks- that is for the Immaculate Collection version (and maybe the low amount of sales for the live version from I'm Going to Tell You a Secret).
The original album version is *still* missing in action in cyberspace. Very peculiar. The original album version probably has sold 150K or more, judging by how it's performed on iTunes and comparing to the totals for her other tracks. I've inquired with Billboard about the matter, so hopefully there's some explanation.

If Taylor released a new album this year, her lead single first week would be huge.
Thanks, bks.

Well, I should have put female "solo-track" in there. :) There's always ways to spin these records. I'm most interested in the record for highest third-week, non-Thanksgiving-or-Christmas-week, non-fall-or-winter-months sales week. LOL

Sales are HUGE. I wonder if there's still some kind of giftcard effect going on. We aren't used to these kind of sales (i'm not talking about the #1 record, but in general) outside of december/early january.

Holy Crap. That's insane for a song with zero promotion. I don't think there's any doubt that Taylor will be the country artist to #1. Imagine what would have happened if they waited until the movie was released.

Thanks for the chart! too bad Taylor didn't got her first #1 hit :(
btw, for those still wondering like me, I finally found out why Snow Patrol's STFTTTB is doing so well just now - the song is featured on the trailer for the new movie “Dear John”. this is not the first time that a song being featured on a trailer gave a song such a boost, I guess the most "famous" case is when M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" started to climb really fast thanks to being featured on the trailer for the movie "Pineapple Express".

Songs have become "hits" and charted all over again after being featured in movies.
An even more famous case might be Bohemian Rhapsody from Waynes World back in the 90s

My fave highlights: Stranded @ #16, Sex Therapy rising on the charts again 89-84, Snow Patrol having a four year old song chart approach the top 50 :) and Lady Gaga having a top 10, top 20, and top 30 song simultaneously!!
BKS, I was wondering how Rihanna's Rude Boy is doing at radio? Thanks!

:o @ Already Gone. It may have not gone top ten, but it has some longevity. Party In The USA and 3 are already going downhill.

Wow at Taylor's numbers. I'm again getting bored seeing the same song on top. Move over Kesha.

I may sound like a dumb ass asking this question, but how do you get the Hot 100 before it is published on the Billboard site?

"Party in the U.S.A." ALREADY going downhill? It's been on the charts since the summer, no? And, it's scanned almost twice as much as "3."
"Already Gone" has had nice longevity, though- it ruled the Hot AC chart for some time.
B-RAD, some people have the inside scoop/sources for the charts when they're compiled.

I don't see how PITUSA scanning twice than 3 is relevant to my post. And who cares, Britney can barely scan 3 million with Womanizer, what more with 3. Already may not be the right term, but I think the general consensus understood what I meant.

15-11 Imma Be - Black Eyed Peas :o It looks like they're getting another top 10 hit...
40-41 Haven't Met You Yet - Michael Buble I hope this will get a top 20 peak at the end of the day...
63-62 I Am - Mary J. Blige Not a big hit yet... Will it ever be?
86-54 Set The Fire To The Third Bar - Snow Patrol 70-66 Heartbreak Warfare - John Mayer 71-67 Halfway Gone - Lifehouse 91-89 1901 - Phoenix Awesome!
