there is no way this list can be totally right. "low" has sold 5.3 million in the US, so it would be hard to imagine it sold less than 200k everywhere else. Same goes for "right round"

Same goes for "right round" "Low" wasn't released in 2009. So there's no way that "Low" sold 5.3 million in 2009. "Right Round" was a big hit in 2009, but it sold less than 1 million in Europe, so I don't think it reached more than a million ww outside the US.

I'm surprised there are no Japanese songs on the list this year. There were two last year...

I'm surprised there are no Japanese songs on the list this year. There were two last year... Hell, I don't even know what the biggest J-Pop digital seller was, and I always keep up on the Japanese scene. There was so "Sobuna Irune"/"Flavor Of Life" type of smash in 2009.

I'm surprised there are no Japanese songs on the list this year. There were two last year... It's not really that weird, considering you had to sell as much (or even more) than the biggest selling digital single in the worlds biggest market (the US), just to appear in the Top 10.

There were no huge hits in Japan last year. :/ In comparison to last year, This year's best seller was "Ayumi" by Greeeen as far as i can see, which sold like 2.1 million.
Last year's best seller in Japan, Soba ni Iru ne, sold 8.something million, and they had another massive hit ("Kiseski" be Greeen) which sold like 5.5 million .. and the year before "Flavor of Life" by Utada Hikaru sold over 8 million.
I hope I'm wrong and that the #1 yearly in Japan REALLY didn't only sell 2.1 million 0_0

theres something wrong w/that list. Circus was a hit in the US but nowhere else really. Right Round was #1 in the US,Australia,UK, and a lot of other places, i find it hard to believe its not on the list when its sold close to 4 million in the US alone.

Japan's biggest selling digital singles ever have sold an excess of 8 million... so yeah, in America it's just barely crept up to 5 million. (If I'm correct, "Soba ni Iru ne", "Flavor of Life" and "Kiseki" all sold over 8 million and some of them close to 9 million.)

Figures you are quoting for Japan include all formats, while you quote figures restricted to digital sales for the US. 'Low' sold well over 8 million overall in the US, Crank That too, as well as Lollipop.

That's awesome for "I'm Yours". And I didn't realize "Single Ladies" did that well worldwide.
