WOW at Lady A's numbers! :o I can't believe that their first week is going to be bigger than Carrie Underwood's, especially since her album was released in November. Incredible.

Even though nobody expected HUGE numbers like this, it makes sense with the monster Need You Now has and continues to be...Congrats Lady A!!!

GO LADy A... SO good to have one act that every one here likes.. (or doesn't feel the need to hate on) You haven't met that Ke$ha st.an in the pop forum, have you? Lady A's numbers are stellar! Their first album's still selling really well too! It's glad to see some other country acts(other than Swiftywood)do really well too! And Corrine's numbers are pretty impressive. Two totally different artists, but Jordin Sparks sold about the same her first week(and that was with a big hit & an AI performance)...I'm happy she's doing well!

Staggering for Lady A :o :o :o
YOUR WEAKEND CHART PREVIEW: Lady Antebellum will debut at #1 with a total that now looks like it’s well over 400k. This is the best showing by any album on a January chart since The Documentary by The Game (Aftermath/Geffen) debuted way back in January ’05 with a total of 587k. EMI is all but guaranteed four titles in the Top 10 next week (whoa) and has a chance for five if the first Lady Antebellum album continues its strong sales through Sunday. Here’s the projected Top 15 headed into Grammy weekend: * Lady Antebellum, Need You Now (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 400-425k Hope for Haiti Now (Hope for Haiti) 140-150k Michael Jackson’s This Is It (Epic) 65-70k Susan Boyle (Columbia) 65-70k Lady Gaga, The Fame (Interscope) 60-65k 2010 Grammy Nominees (Capitol/EMI) 50-55k * Barry Manilow (Arista/RMG) 45-50k * Corinne Bailey Rae (Capitol/EMI) 45-50k * Celtic Woman (Manhattan/EMI) 35-40k Lady Antebellum, self-titled (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 35-40 Alicia Keys (J/RMG) 35-40k Black Eyed Peas (Interscope) 30-35k * Kidz Bop Kids (Razor & Tie) 27-30k Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 27-30k Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster (Interscope) 27-30k * Denotes debut You may now return to explaining to your homies why Peyton Manning can’t possibly be stymied by the Saints defense next Sunday. (1/29a)

WOW @ Lady A probably having two top ten albums at the same time. Aside from GaGa's EP I think the last time that happened was when the Jonas Brothers had their debut and A Little Bit Longer both in the top 10.
Why is Michael going to sell that much? Was the DVD released this week?

Hmm...at the very least, Taylor should return strong next week post-Grammys. But I still want her to stay in the T10 this week.

I don't think Taylor will stay in the Top 10 this week cuz of the five debuts ahead it. Freakin awesome for Lady A. I love the positivity surrounding them cuz they're great! And imagine if they when some grammys on Sunday! Sales ALL DAY lol :)
Two other things: Susan Boyle continues to sell despite people saying she would just drop after Christmas! Go Boyle! And this will be her first time out the TOP 2!! Amazing!
Also, why are people still buying Kidz Bop??? It's soo awful lol

Yes, SuBo's album has shown that it's not going to drift off into oblivion, like some had thought.
Fantastic for Lady A- hope it indeed does top 400K.

I know it's off topic, but Lil Wayne's "Rebirth" FINALLY comes out on Tuesday. Anyone want to estimate how much it sells? I'm thinking 300k MAX, and thats because it is a horrible album that has no current strong radio song.

Well, after so many delays, I've no idea of how much it's going to sell, but I think it won't do more than 200k.

Lady A, Grammy Album, Gaga, Peas and Taylor are sure to sell well in sales this coming week with the Grammy's Sunday.

WOW @ Lady A probably having two top ten albums at the same time. Aside from GaGa's EP I think the last time that happened was when the Jonas Brothers had their debut and A Little Bit Longer both in the top 10. Yup JB was the last band to do it. And before that it was *NSYNC in '99. (Did I put the asterisk in the right place? Does anyone care?) Aww Taylor's way out of the top 10 this week... Oh well, she'll be back.

Well, after so many delays, I've no idea of how much it's going to sell, but I think it won't do more than 200k. really? that's interesting considering the label shipped 1 million for its "expected" release week way back in december. i hope it does well (only bc i like wanye. the album is worse than diarrhea), but less than 200k seems extraordinarily low. but really, he deserves a flop. that's what he needs to let him know he can do nothing besides rap.

^Isn't he in jail, to boot? Whatever the result, it sure will be a comedown from his last opening. Question is, just how much of one.

I think it'll be a good race between Lady A and Lil' Wayne next week for the #1 spot. I don't think Lady A will dip that much, but I also don't think Wayne will do even close to TC3 numbers. Especially with the piece of shit he's releasing.
