OK, what did Solange say about Taylor? I'm confused. "Im sorry but i'm having another kanye rant moment. My sister BROKE THE RECORD for the MOST GRAMMY'S IN ONE NIGHT BY ANY FEMALE," she wrote Monday (February 1) night. "so why do i KEEP seeing "other artist" as the Nights "big winner"....(*kanye shrug here) ???? Wowzers 2 some responses. Good darnit......im glad folks agree. Ok. On to the next one:)" lol @ 1 person agreeing with you and you feeling yourself! Solange has EVERY right to call out the media on their biased bullsh!t. AND again the comment is to the media.. and not to taylor or whoever else personally [are they the 1s writing the reports???] .. so her name had no relevancy ..you stay putting the focus on the wrong thing.

glad someone spoke up about taylor's ridiculous AOTY win, I may not like her sister that much and she may not be a big seller but Solo's latest music has had more substance than Taylor's probably ever will. Solange can't even get nominated in Best Urban/Alternative Performance, a category full of unknown underground artists, and she's Beyonce's sister. I doubt her opinion matters to Taylor.

Ch... and I could care less about Solange's existence. My point is that instead of going in on Taylor about getting all of this attention, she needs to try scooping up some recognition herself. Solange's opinion will never matter. She will always be known as the LaToya or Rebbie of the Knowles clan. Bew.

FYI, Beyonce said this after Kanye's VMA antic, "Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art". So I say yeah, it does run in her family. And they're sisters btw. Oh, really? :o I had absolutely NO clue Solange was a female thus making her a sister of Bee. I added brother just to make my statement general, thank you. And what if Beyonce said Kanye was standing up for art? Every video is an art form so it's not like Bee was saying her video is only art. I suppose she should of cussed him out even though they're good friends and have worked together in the past. Totally missing the point All I'm trying to say is she should have not added/commented that Kanye was standing up for art.

I don't think Solange was mad at Taylor per se. She was upset with the media over looking Bey breaking a record that doesn't happen every year!!!

They are only setting Beyonce up to fall. She'll have to meet every expectation, and when she doesn't, because she will not meet them all, she'll be a flop, hasbeen, etc. Watch. I get the same vibe. Somethin tells me her *Paul Mooney* wake up call is on the horizon, I can't pinpoint exactly when it's coming, but it will be noteworthy. You mean you WANT it to come...what would even lead you to believe that B is going to fall off?

I know. Well most entertainment shows did acknowledge it but I think it was still understated. I guess Taylor got more shine b/c she won the night's biggest award. Same thing happened with the nominations. I read several headlines stating Taylor and Beyonce leading with most nominations. Beyonce was THE only leader and it should have been stated that way.

I think your missing the point and trying to spin her comment to make it seem negative. Kanye is passionate about many things, including music and art. He was voicing his opinion on the music videos (art) and that's all Beyonce was stating.

www.billboard.com/#/news/label-chief-defends-taylor-swift-s-grammy-1004065167.storyLabel Chief Defends Taylor Swift's Grammy Performanceby Associated Press | February 04, 2010 The head of Taylor Swift's record label is fired up and defending his superstar against critical comments about her Grammy-night performance. "She is the voice of this generation. She speaks directly to (her fans), and they speak directly back to her," said Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta in a phone interview. "This is not 'American Idol.' This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It's not about that technically perfect performance." Borchetta first responded to the backlash in an interview The Tennessean. Asked by The Associated Press why he felt the need to defend Swift, he said because the criticism was "just over the top." "It's that classic thing that critics do of building something up and then wanting to tear it down," he said. Swift rehearsed her performance and duet with Stevie Nicks two different times at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in front of a crowd of people. Critics were nicer then. Entertainment Weekly wrote of the rehearsal, "The two women's voices complimented each other nicely on the harmonies of 'Rhiannon' ...'" But on Sunday night's Grammy show, Borchetta said Swift had a technical issue that made her worry about her performance. (Attempts to reach The Recording Academy for comment went unanswered.) "We had a volume problem in the ear. So, she was concerned that she wasn't able to hear everything in the mix," Borchetta said. "That's just part of live TV. ... So you're going to have difficulties on occasion. Unfortunately, on one of the biggest stages, we did have a technical issue. She couldn't hear herself like she had in rehearsal." As quickly as you could say "Fearless," bloggers and media outlets pounced on Swift's performance. The Washington Post quipped: "To borrow a phrase from Montgomery Burns, it was more 'off-key caterwauling.'" Entertainment Weekly's Web site EW.com said: "There's no doubt that someone was badly off-key ... I'm afraid my money's on Taylor." The chatter at times overshadowed the four Grammys she won - including album of the year. Borchetta said he doesn't need critics to give the 20-year-old the benefit of the doubt: "What we have is so much bigger than that. Am I going to ask them to turn their heads, no, I don't need them to." It's doubtful her fans will abandon Swift anytime soon, judging by the congratulations and positive comments on her Facebook and MySpace pages, or that those with tickets to the second leg of her sold-out "Fearless" tour will throw them away because she had a bad night. And with that, Borchetta has a message to all of her critics. "If you haven't seen her live performance, you're welcome to come out as my guest to a Taylor Swift show and experience the whole thing, because it's amazing. You can see her in her element. There's a reason tickets are selling like they are." Swift's "Fearless" album has sold over 5 million copies and was last year's top-selling album. She is the youngest artist to ever win the Grammys' top prize of album of the year. She will resume the "Fearless" tour March 4 in Tampa, Fla.

From Kelly Clarkson:iamkelly.wordpress.com/Scott BorchettaPosted in Uncategorized on February 4, 2010 by iamkelly Wow …..Dear Scott Borchetta, I understand defending your artist obviously because I have done the same in the past for artists I like, including Taylor, so you might see why its upsetting to read you attacking American Idol for producing simply vocalists that hit ‘the high notes’. Thank you for that ‘Captain Obvious’ sense of humor because you know what, we not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well. Every artist has a bad performance or two and that is understandable, but throwing blame will not make the situation at hand any better. I have been criticized left and right for having shaky performances before (and they were shaky) and what my manager or label executives say to me and the public is “I’ll kick butt next time” or “every performance isn’t going to be perfect” ……I bring this up because you should take a lesson from these people and instead of lashing out at other artists (that in your ‘humble’ opinion lack true artistry), you should simply take a breath and realize that sometimes things won’t go according to plan or work out and that’s okay. Sincerely, One of those contestants from American Idol who only made it because of her high notes

And I doubt that Solange is jealous of Taylor. IMO, Solo is the better songwriter and singer. Sure she may not have the success, but there was nothing bitter in her twitter post.

I actually agree with Kelly's comments. Fact is Taylor can't sing and its not just not hitting the high notes. Her voice is simply flat.

@ some of y'all thinking Kelly was saying something offensive towards Taylor's performances. Kelly is probably one of Taylor's defenders. She dragged the hell out of Kanye on her blog. Solange needs to find her own success before she talks trash on Twitter. The end.

Kelly's blog wasn't about TS, it was about her idiot of a manager. Who needs to stop now, his comments aren't doing Taylor any favors.

am I the only one that actually understood what the guy was trying to say? I don't think he was attacking american Idol, but rather saying that a performance at the Grammy's is different than one at the american idol, where you need to reach the high notes. I think Kelly misunderstood the whole thing.
