The weekly updates return tomorrow night if I'm not mistaken? It should we already had our two week stretch of no PDFs and tomorrow isn't a holiday so I believe it should be coming tomorrow, which means I have to get predictions going!

It should we already had our two week stretch of no PDFs and tomorrow isn't a holiday so I believe it should be coming tomorrow, which means I have to get predictions going! Tomorrow is the observed holiday for New Year's Day, so we might not get one until Tuesday. Many businesses are closed tomorrow.

If there is a published BCU this week, it most likely won't come out until Tuesday evening, as carriekins stated. Tomorrow is the New Year's holiday for all intents and purposes.

I know they do a quarterly report. One will be coming in January. Thanks, I always thought I remembered seeing that each year. Ask and ye shall receive: The top selling albums, singles, and most streamed songs are in this week's Billboard Country Update. Enjoy!

Billboard Country Update, January 9, 2017: "Stapleton, FGL, Hunt Loom Large In Country’s 2016 Consumption" - > Inconsistency in sales volumes and analysis:
Tom Roland from Billboard Nashville has just confirmed that they will fix their lead article.

That's disappointing to me. I liked the Billboard Country Album chart as a pure sales chart.

That's disappointing to me. I liked the Billboard Country Album chart as a pure sales chart. You're still getting a pure album sales chart for country as I have read it: Billboard and Nielsen will still compile sales-based album charts, but the main chart in each genre in Billboard and/or on Billboard.com will be consumption-based. Chart rank history for each list will be connected with the sales-based rank history dating back to each chart’s origin.

Plus the fact that catalog albums will also be in the mix, which means that an album from many years ago could suddenly make the top five out of nowhere.

Personally,I say would be better off to do away with all the charts and let it be about the music and the listeners decide what they want to hear instead of labels and radio deciding for people ,cause all it seems like lately with their rule changes Billboard just makes is to make things worse.

If you got rid of the charts, Billboard would cease to exist. 2. As far as the album charts are concerned, the public does have a say. Billboard is just reporting the numbers of each album sold. You do have a say in that.

I hate that a chart like the Hot Country Songs chart is their "main" chart and all historical achievements are compared with this radically different chart. So, now all the records of the Country Album Chart will be compared to the streaming era. Not cool.

Just reminding everyone that there will not be a chart issue released tonight for both Billboard Country Update and Mediabase Country Aircheck Weekly due to it being President's Day today. Tomorrow evening is when we will have the new weekly issues.
