These Dreams/Heart
We Are Family/Sister Sledge
Hold On/Wilson Phillips
Breathless/The Corrs
Best Of My Love/The Emotions
Pretty good selection of songs there. The Archive songs spanned five different decades. But haven't they played "If I Could Turn Back Time" several times since AT10 started?
It appears that the volume of Long Distance Dedications has shrunk even more, since there was only one on the show this weekend. I sure hope they're not going to become extinct.
One of my previous predictions for the Spotlight was "Family Acts". I just wasn't specific enough. This week's show was sister acts. When I heard this, Sister Sledge and the Pointer Sisters immediately came to mind. It was great to hear "Slow Hand" again.
I'm surprised that there turned out to be 23 extras, since "These Dreams" looped back to the second verse and they played "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" by Elton John, which is practically seven minutes long. There must have been a few unusually short songs played ("I Hear A Symphony", "It's Still Rock & Roll To Me" and "It's Alright", I believe, are all under three minutes long).
Oh yeah, the chart? It's the same slow chart as always, with probably the same ten songs until we have a debut sometime in early August (as the average of debuts is still exactly one per month). The biggest mover is Seal's "Love's Divine", from 6-4 and Five For Fighting are still not letting Martina McBride in for the world.
