Wow. On first listen this is awful. She might as well have Lil Jon yelling in the background or something. This is straight Crunk & B trash. Nice beat. But Toni doesn't sound right singing on it at all. The only way I can see myself liking this is if I keep it on repeat and force myself to do so. So far I've listened like 6 times, and it's growing, but its still a mess! The only way I see this as being successful is if she puts a rapper on it who's currently hot. But Toni doesn't need to be jumping on anymore bandwagons. On a postive note, I can't wait to see the video with Toni rubbing all over those lovely titties!

becuz it is release and it wll get her more spins and a chart position on a digital chart on Billboard That's not really how it works most of the time. People aren't going to DL it because they haven't heard it yet. Therefore, it'll just look to radio like no one events want to hear it since it's not selling well. It's a cycle.

I'm fine with the song being released prior to the add date, but ideally it should be available just as the song goes to radio. The last thing I want though is for labels to start withholding digital releases like they did with physical singles so that songs didn't come out until months after the song was on the radio.

LOL! I'm thinking that maybe all stations didnt actually get the song yet because from the looks of who was playing, its been the same handful of stations playing it for the past 2 weeks. So maybe with the digital release of it, all stations will be recieving it.

I agree. i would rather for the song to be available early, than for it to lose sales and interest because its not available online.

I bought it. It's growing on me more and more as I listen to it. She's giving off some great attitude in this song.

After her full first day of sales, she's failed to make the Top 100 at iTunes.

After her full first day of sales, she's failed to make the Top 100 at iTunes. Thats no surprise. She doesnt even have a million in audience yet. no1 really knows the songs exists. They are goign to have to re-introdcue Toni to people. They cant just drop her single and thin they are going to pick up where they left off at in 2000. its time to get the PR wheels and the hype machine going.

After her full first day of sales, she's failed to make the Top 100 at iTunes. Toni Braxton has charted. The song is an R&B/Soul track and was #74 at 12PM today. Currently the track is #39. This is a great showing for a first day of sales. - ceebraxton

Toni is #2 on mocradio.com's JamList.... Strangely, however, it's with the song "Sposed 2 Be" - not "Please." See for yourself... mocradio.com/play.html

My favorite lead Toni Braxton single, and by miles. i was listening to this today while I was walking down the street and i must say I liked it before, but somethin clicked it just hit me like a ton of bricks. this song is fuckin HOOOOOT! She is so damn sassy in this song! This is muuuuch better than "he wasnt man enough" but I dont know if its as good as "you're makin me high" though. Those 2 songs are about tied for me but if Toni makes a hella sexy video, "please" may be my favorite lead single from her as well.
