Regardless this should help his spins go up pretty well, and some Cumulus stations really wanted to play his song and were waiting for the OK. I think we will see some Cumulus stations move him up rotation pretty quickly. Also, he was slated to go number 17 in a day or two, but now he has a real chance to jump a few spots the next week or so Thank you! Meanwhile, does someone know how he is doing with singles sales? We wont have new numbers until Thursday, but as of last Thursday he was at: Adam Lambert, Whataya Want From Me (61,000, +18 percent, 486,000) Should be Gold this week. No doubts :) |

OMG CUMULUS ADDED HIM. THIS IS AMAZING. AND AWESOME. AND OTHER ADJECTIVES.
I hope he does perform Sleepwalker tonight, although I don't know if I want it to be the next single--it seems like the biggest potential hit on the album, but isn't it more of a Fall song?
Anyway, FLAIL.

Huntsville , Melbourne, Macon, GA & Kansas City just added! (WZYP-FM, WAOA-FM, WMGB-FM, KCHZ-FM). The spins have already been coming in nicely on the new stations. Huntsville spun twice in the last hour.

Huntsville spun twice in the last hour. It was WZIP that spinned, not WZYP. WZIP is a not monitored college station, those not monitored stations seem to love WWFM.. sometimes even more than the monitored do. There are gonna be HAC leaning songs in the top 40 also in the summer.. AG was released last summer IIRC and so was "Falling For You" and "Use Somebody" got to #1 in July. |

Just got home from school...so happy about Cumulus!!! Ooh, I hope he does Sleepwalker tonight! I wonder what he's gonna perform on SYTYCD Australia on Friday....probably WWFM if that's the first single there. |

For the love of God! Is RCA completely stupid? After wasting the hits "Long Shot" and "Don't Let Me Stop You", they're spending money on this flop transexual? At least they should revive 'Blah Blah Blah'.

^^ Because if they don't get him a big hit and tons of sales it'll be one of the biggest hype-to-blah disappointments of the last few years. They'll push him until people break so they can claim he's a huge success. And it's not just RCA, but the combo of 19 and RCA.
(Note: I don't agree with the harsh language in the above post, though)

I never said they were payola-ing it. I don't think labels use payola anymore. But they do promise things -- not money, but other things -- to get stations to play songs. It's not just Adam's song -- it's EVERY song. Just that some stations work harder to get a song to hit, especially coming off a first single flop. RCA would be STUPID not to make deals. It's not like this song zoomed up the chart indicating PDs just loved the crap out of it. RCA had to work. And what callout? Rate The Music? I thought we ignored Rate The Music because it's easily fan spammed? Wasn't that the theory when Crush always topped it? |
