Is it safe to say they have enough hits for a collection?

Is it safe to say they have enough hits for a collection? I would say to the average rock radio listener, not really. Sure, people like us here on the forum know that Saliva has had probably enough singles to make a Greatest Hits, but since not many of them have done well since their debut album, I don't think many average fans would know about half of the songs in the tracklisting.

Sadly, if Fastball can make a Greatest Hits, it's fair game for Saliva. I will be paying it zero mind, though.

Remember that alternative isn't the only rock radio format. With that in mind, Saliva has had plenty of active rock singles do well, to the extent that it makes sense for them to have a Greatest Hits collection. And remember AI, you live in a market with an alternative station and an active rock station that barely plays anything new. Living in a market that has an active rock station that's much more successful than our alternative station, I can assure you that Saliva gets plenty of exposure around here (which recently has been unfortunate).
I thought they were going to do one more album that sounded more like "Back Into Your System" first, so I'm sorta disappointed that this is happening now. Their last few albums have not been up my alley with the exception of the single "Razor's Edge".

They're also supposed to have a new album called Take That Society out later this year.

After reading your comment there, I was curious to know how they've done in their career on Active Rock because you're correct when I don't get much exposure to the chart very often being that my local Active Rock (they might as well be "Rock") station blows. I was stunned to see that SEVEN singles that made it to #31 or higher on Active Rock, three of them made it higher than #20 were , and they never charted on Alternative. I take back what I said earlier. They're in a fine position to release a Greatest Hits, but I do find it quite a shame that not enough people are exposed to a lot of their singles not having an Active Rock station in their area.

I just assumed this was a record label obligation to finish off their contract.

This song is way better than "Family Reunion" and "Ladies and Gentlemen", but it's by no means spectacular. Still it's a step in the right direction as far as what I'd want a Saliva lead single to sound like.
