Perhaps those dates will pop up in the next two weeks. I mean, they reported dates that were less than 80% capacity, so may as well report them all. The interesting one is Toronto, for which the reported capacity for the last tour was 13,500 or so for one show. There were reports there were 6,500-7,000 at the same venue this time. What would the reported capacity be this time, 7,500?

Now why would you mention Madge? See, that is what starts these things. That album isn't a smash in the USA, but then again, no new compilations from living acts are these days. It's scanned more than 200K, and should do OK over time. The single was disposable Euro fluff, so no shocker that the USA didn't take to that.

I do not "attack" Mimi- I talk about chart potential and how she is regarded as an artist- that is not attacking. Some are so wrapped up in lambdom, though, that they take it the wrong way. I have fun discussing Mimi- as someone to hang out with, she'd probably be a hoot.

I hope all the figures are reported, but even for the Adventures of Mimi Tour, some went unreported.

I'm guessing that the remaining 10 concerts for Mariah will average about $400k so I'm estimating total gross for the 21 dates to be around $10mil- not much. Per Boxoffice, the artist gets 35% after promoter, mgmt and production costs so her take is around $3.5mil....

For some reason, I thought the % would be higher, like around 40-45% - especially if it is a no frills- low production cost show.

Under Madonna's contract with LiveNation (it started with the S&S Tour) she gets 90% of the ticket grosses, but that's only because *she* pays for the entire tour's costs.

Wow! That is a huge % but then again her concert grosses are high. I wonder what her production costs are?

She made $60million from the entire tour, from ticket sales alone, and the production of the shoe I believe was somewhere around $100million

LN was taking a higher percentage then because they were footing the bill.

Normally younger acts only get about 10 to 12% of ticket grosses. Older acts that are big touring machines get more. And then you have deals like Madonna's current deal.

So what percentage do you think that Mariah, Alicia Keys, Whitney, Mary J blige are getting on their tours or got. I tend to thenk that they get much higher than 20%. Billboard stated 35% after mgmt fees. None of these ladies have highe production costs although Whitney's tour right now is a bit improvement over her last tour i.e 4-5 dancers, more vid screens, multi media etc

I can't believe an artist would do all the work for a 10% cut, that's ridiculous!
