500k is not good after having a #1 R&B Single. Amerie had the #1 single to, and look how that turned out, and she's not a debut artist and did better on pop then Bobby, so I think his album is doing alright, not great, but alright, and much better then many others

IMO, he's doing well for a debut srtist, but thats not to say that this(Tell Me) isn't underperforming

It's pretty well known that her album bombed.

It was pretty obvious Bobby V. was gonna flop with his albm. I mean he had absolutely no Pop success. If "Slow down" managed Top 10 on Pop.. it might have been able to sell at least 1 million copies in the US. A number 1 R&B song is not enough to sell 1 million copies. Look at Mario... if "Let me love you" didn't have Pop success it wouldn't have sold 1 million copies... it would have sold as much as Bobby's.

If you can't crossover to pop your not going to have sales in excess of 2 or 3 million. You may go platnium off of the strength of urban america but that's generally about it. Out of all the R & B acts out right now only Mariah Carey is able to crossover onto pop effortlessly. These other R &B acts will have poor sales compared to Mariah Carey. I also think it's just ashame that certain hip-hop songs can climb to the top of the charts with pop success, but it is exceptionally hard for talented R & B acts to get pop support.

I think this song sounds too much like "Slow Down". The beats are way too similar.

Wow, this song is hot! It's so infectious. I like it a lot better than "Slow Down." Too bad it's not doing as well as expected.

i listened to this last night and it sounds so sensual. his voice is so sweet and sincere and that beat is so sexily smooth. i really love this song. slow down was great, but this is way better.

#11 with a +206 bullet
It's a hit after all! I doubt even more that he can get a third hit, but I'd love to see him release "I'll Forgive You". "Give Me A Chance" is hot too, but it's like the exact same song as "Slow Down" and "Tell Me"... well actually thinking about it, that might not be bad especially with Ludacris on the track. ...and "One Girl To Love" is hot too, but it's built on the same Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis 80's quiet storm production sound as "I'll Forgive You" and "I'll Forgive You" is just the stronger of the two. This album seriously deserves like five Top 10 hits though. I can't believe this album came from Ludacris's label.

I LOVE this song. This is my official Jam Of The Moment. 2005 is great.... all these songs that look like they're about to flop undeservingly end up becoming hits anyway!

Yea, I listened to his whole CD today and this song is hot. I am disappointed it has not made further gains at radio. All I can attribute it to is bad timing for the song to be released coupled with a lackluster video, but the song should have done better. His CD is very listenable but with its Quiet Storm production which somebody mentioned it is not as radio-friendly. I know that the first 7 songs are FIRE tho. They are hot. The end of the CD starts to get a little too quiet, but the whole CD is hot. Yea, GIVE ME A CHANCE is hot asOrange Clouds stated, but it is too similar to the songs already released.

This is my favorite song on the album, love the production. It's run should definately be stronger.

I used to hate this song. But ever since the remix with Lil Wayne came out my mind has changed and I really like it. It is starting to get more and more play here in LA.

Where is this song at on the Billboard charts? I know they are picking it up here in Chicago, but the song has been out for a couple of months now.
