I just can't. The more fans wank on him the longer he'll keep it. The media is just having a blast with him though. Russian Glamberts wanking on him. adamlambert Polly2101 RT: twitpic.com/4qlqin twitpic.com/4qlm3o #russberts #glamberts #glambeards @adamlambert <3 celebrity-gossipThey’re both top names in the pop music realm, and last night (April 27) Adam Lambert and Ke$ha were spotted at the 28th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards. The “For Your Entertainment” rocker and the “TiK ToK” songstress joined forces to present a pair of plaques to two very deserving songwriters. Adam and Ke$ha handed out the Songwriters of the Year awards to Max Martin and Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald. Both Max and Dr. Luke have been prolific in their efforts as of late, having written hits for Lambert, Britney Spears, Pink, and more. bit.ly/lHLolJjustjaredAdam Lambert: ASCAP Pop Music Awards Presenter! Adam Lambert shows off his facial hair on the red carpet at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards held at the Renaissance Hotel on Wednesday (April 27) in Hollywood. The 29-year-old entertainer presented the Songwriter of the Year award to Max Martin, who worked with Adam on the hit song “Whataya Want From Me.” Max’s songwriting partner Dr. Luke was also honored for his work at the ceremony with his own award, presented to him by Ke$ha. Adam debuted his facial hair look at the opening night of the Broadway show Sister Act last week. bit.ly/m8hlDRmetromixFear the beard They may not be as high-profile or glamorous as the Grammys, but to music industry insiders, the ASCAP Pop Awards are just prestigious. Now in their 28th year, the Pop Awards honor popular songwriting; past recipients include such masters of the three-minute ditty as Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell and—woah, hold the phone! Is that Adam freakin' Lambert? Hey, Adam, Satan called—he wants his facial hair back. Read more: bit.ly/iCZjdnlaweeklyThe Surreal World of ASCAP's Pop Awards: Where Adam Lambert and Ke$ha Honor the Guys Who Made Them Famous (and Train is the Best Rock Band) Haters might say that Dr. Luke and Max Martin are responsible for the downfall of music. After all, manufactured pop has killed it for other genres, especially harder and more experimental ones. But at ASCAP's Pop Music Awards last night you would have thought that these two songwriters/producers (known for work with Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Ke$ha to name a few) are saving music, at least if by "music" you mean the corporate music industry and the few who got extremely wealthy in the years of pop dominance. The only two "rock" acts honored for their singles were Train and Kings of Leon. Stewart's American Songbook covers project was touted nearly as much as his classic material. Not a good sign. Still, there is hope. Horses said the little checks they got periodically gave them the ability to keep on playing. And for every spaced-out, Spears-like pop puppet, there's an Adam Lambert, Perry and badass Pink (who are very involved in the creative process), retaining an edge even while backed by the corporate marketing machine. Luke and Martin seem to only enhance what unique artists like these three already bring to the table. Dapperly dressed and expertly coiffed, Lambert was friendly but coy when asked about his next album, which he says he’s been working on for about two months. He was more forthcoming about his pick to win “American Idol” this season and whose music he’s really feeling right now. On how the new album is coming: I feel really creative right now. I feel good. I feel like everything’s going to come together and it’s going to be a great project. On the sound: I don’t really know yet and I kind of don’t want to jinx it or give anything away. I think the most important thing for me to keep in mind as a songwriter and as a vocalist now is that my fans want to here my voice, first and foremost. And I think kind of our general rule in songwriting is that it has to come from the heart; it has to be real. On producers: I have a bunch of producers lined up. It’s kind of a... we’re doing it that way. I’m working with a handful of different people, creating as much music as possible, and then when it comes to pick tracks for the album, we’ll narrow it down. Unfortunately, we’ll have to narrow it down. On some of the specific people you’re working with: I’m not going to say. i’m keeping my eggs in my basket. There’s been a couple of producers who may have mentioned it on Twitter here and there, which is great, but I kind of want to keep it a surprise for everybody, it’s going to be really great. On his favorite “American Idol” this season: Haley [Reinhart] is definitely my favorite Idol right now. I love the sound of her voice. The texture of it, musically her choices are incredible. I don’t even think people are realizing the things that she’s doing vocally and I think it’s because she’s so effortless about it. She isn’t trying too hard. She’s just there. She’s just embodying it. She’s so comfortable and to me that’s what a real star is. On hitting 1 million Tweeter followers: That’s crazy, that’s so crazy. It’s weird to know that I can just pick up my cell phone and on a whim, write something and a million people are going to read it. It’s kind of dangerous. On his favorite song right now: That Adele, “Someone like You” song, it cuts me right to the core. It’s so vulnerable and that’s the type of stuff that’s really inspiring right now. You know I love modern, electronic pop rock production, but at the heart of it I think the song needs to hit you in the heart. On if he’d change anything on his first album: No, no. I think the first album is amazing. I’m really proud of it. That was my first time out. We did it really fast. It had a ton of momentum behind it and I got to explore my glam rock, you know, my glam rock self, my T-Rex/Bowie/Gary Glitter/Boy George self and this album is going to be an evolution. bit.ly/kKCVpWhollywoodreporterAdam Lambert On His Season 10 Fave Haley Reinhart And Why He’s ‘Over’ James Durbin The Season 8 runner-up doesn't mince words: Casey Abrams should tone down the shtick and Durbin needs to listen up, but Reinhart makes it all "look effortless." American Idol Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert was never one to soft-pedal — not when it came to his performances on the show or his opinions on everything from drugs to sexuality to Lady Gaga. It's one of the many reasons we love him. And as Season 10 winds down, Adam clearly has a lot to say about the Top 6 finalists, first and foremost, his current favorite: Haley Reinhart. “I love Haley so much because musically and vocally, she's doing things that are at a top-notch level,” he told THR at Wednesday’s ASCAP Pop Music Awards, where Adam introduced Songwriter of the Year winner Max Martin. “It’s incredible how Haley makes it look so easy and effortless. Plus, she's having fun up there. I don't feel like she's working so hard to prove herself or to prove a point. She’s just singing and taking joy in music.” Read more: bit.ly/j0Ulca

What do other artists and music makers think of Prince’s point? THR asked at Wednesday’s ASCAP Pop Awards, which recognized some of 2010’s biggest hits. Adam Lambert: “I understand where he’s coming from. I mean, he's Prince. I think he can get his way. Kudos to his people for getting that Maxidrom gig. I hope his label don't take a long time to put out new music, he's still hot right now and it would be a mistake to wait too long for his album.

Adam Lambert – VH1 Behind the Music Set to Air August 10VH1 press release announcing the return of their popular series Behind the Music: SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- VH1's most celebrated music documentary series "Behind The Music" returns with seven of today's most successful and celebrated artists. The five-time Emmy® Award-nominated series gives viewers a front row seat to the most exclusive and intimate interviews with the artists as well as their families, friends and colleagues. Featured this season are Missy Elliott, Ice Cube, Miranda Lambert, Mary J. Blige, Enrique Iglesias, Adam Lambert and Ricky Martin. Beginning on Wednesday, June 29 at 9 PM ET/PT with "Behind The Music: Missy Elliott," the series will bring viewers never-before-seen footage of these talented musicians and the people who know them best. “Behind The Music: Adam Lambert” Premieres Wednesday, August 10 at 10 PM ET/PTGlam-rock powerhouse, Adam Lambert has taken pop music by storm with his handsome looks, electrifying stage theatrics and jaw-dropping vocal acrobatics. In this episode of “Behind the Music” Adam Lambert opens up to VH1 about the challenges he faced during his childhood including realizing he was gay in 6th grade. After finally coping with his identity, Adam freed himself at the age of 18, coming out to his family and moving to Hollywood, CA to pursue his dream of being an entertainer. Struggling to make ends meet, Lambert received his first big break when he landed a part in the European tour of “Hair” at age 19. The excitement of his first role brought out Adam’s wild side as he began to experiment with sex, drugs and rock n’ roll. For the next eight years Adam was continually cast in various stage productions including “Wicked.” At age 27 and without a record deal, Adam had a realization during a psychedelic experience at the Burning Man festival that if he wanted fame he would have to take control and make it happen. In turn, Adam decided to audition for the iconic TV show, “American Idol.” Making the top 13, Adam was poised to go far in the competition until scandalous photos of him dressed in drag and kissing another man leaked on the Internet. Adam remained tight-lipped about the photos to the press, determined to keep the focus on his talent. As he advanced to the final round of the competition, the media began to debate whether America would elect a gay Idol. Placing second, Adam quickly landed a record deal with RCA and 19 Recordings, taking the opportunity to come out about his sexuality in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. However, Adam wasn’t done shocking the world, and during his debut television performance at the “American Music Awards” he stunned audiences by kissing his male bassist onstage. Following a huge backlash from viewers, Adam released his debut album “For Your Entertainment,” which skyrocketed to #3 on the Billboard chart in its first week. Viewers of this episode of “Behind the Music” will see never-before-seen home video footage, interviews with family, friends, industry experts and musical luminaries including Barry Weiss and “American Idol” Season 8 winner Kris Allen. With constant criticism about being too bold, too offensive and too gay, Adam Lambert comes clean to VH1 about who he really is and the obstacles he has overcome to get where he is today. Read more: prn.to/m3scc2LA TimesVH1’s “Behind the Music” is continuing its resurgence with a new season of the revived documentary series. Launching at 10 p.m. June 29 with an episode dedicated to rapper Missy Elliott, the series will continue its brand of intensely personal narratives, paired with never-before-seen footage from the featured artists and interviews from those who know them best. Beside Elliott, the season also includes Ice Cube, Miranda Lambert, Mary J. Blige, Enrique Iglesias, Adam Lambert and Ricky Martin. Abramson said that after the network decided to revive the series in 2009, producers tried to reinvent the show by focusing on stars who are still making music and appeal to their evolving demographics — and not so much on aging musicians. “We try to get the most relevant artists to our audience,” Abramson said. “Our audience gets younger and younger.” Read more: lat.ms/mkYH0f

I'm loving that he's one of the FEW Idols to make a huge international splash. Daughtry, Kelly, and Jordin are the only ones to have similar overseas success.
David Cook and Jennifer moved some units in Europe and David A, Elliott, Clay, and Jasmine have done well in Asia.

Looks like no high profile writers and producers have been involved on working on new CD. Well, unless you count Tedder as one. I guess Glambert is short of money, time to shop for some rejects.

I think it's kind of similar in a way to what Kelly Clarkson feels about her albums. He's going to make the album HE wants to hear on the radio, that could be part of the reason why there are no high profile writers and producers (he's also co-writing almost everything). Kelly didn't want to work with the people EVERYBODY's working with, she wants her music to be more personal. I think Adam feels the same way. They do care about the music they release, but it could be dangerous too, this could be his My December.

Bonnie McKee has written big hits, he's already spent a lot of time in the studio writing with her. He's said he's working with Max Martin. I expect a decent album cut from his sessions with Sia, probably a ballad. Who knows who he's working with in London right now. Collab? He's only said he's making an album he would want to listen to. He likes Pop. He's too smart not to include some radio ready pop singles, probably the Bonnie or Max songs, era 2 is too crucial and he knows that. Kelly's My December was short on radio singles. I do expect (and hope) there are a few off the wall tunes ;) Thanks for the concern trolling, I'll wait to see what he comes up with. ETA: Behind the Music airs August 10th, hoping for studio footage.

Adam did a great job at the festival and from Russian reviews coming in he went from the hardcore rock fans being skeptical to being impressive. He held his own. All the bands stuck around and watched each other performances and thought it was one of the most pleasant and best festivals in years. They just reported there was record breaking attendance. I had to laugh at the media asking KORN how THEY felt about performing on the same stage as Adam Lambert when it should be the other way around. lol Korn Front man Johnathan Davis was skeptical about Lambert's performing at the event that over the years earned a reputation of being a Rock festival Korn: Very surreal.... Twilight shit but it's all good we're all here to do the same thing and make music. awww. Since Zac Baird who plays keys for KORN also played for Adam Lambert and was his musical director for awhile so one would assume they have a mutual respect for one another. Tumen Russian article: Google translation "Adam Lambert in the background of all participants looked delicate violet, but, surprisingly gave a high quality set. It can be seen in this their "Idol" actually produce suitable for consumption, rather than "semi". It was amusing to observe how the real rockers in the stifling heat of the skin, which came apparently to KORN, and their brutal companions to dance to the beat and sing along with Lambert". Yuri Dontsov, one of the festival organizers was asked on the radio why they had decided to invite Adam to a festival of that kind. He answered that nowadays Adam is one of the foremost artists of the US. And that in the near future he will be a mega star!He also added that Adam has a huge fanbase all over the world, including Russia. This cracked me up. Yuri Dontsov: "About two and a half weeks ago we received a letter from Adam Lambert's fan asking about how Adam's fans would be protected. Then, the funniest happened - about a week ago we got a letter from Korn fans asking how THEY would be protected from Lambert's fans. lol. Adam Lambert fans turn ugly!!I guess it was inevitable really when you think about it. Adam let it be known he was returning more to his rock roots and like night follows day, the heavy duty rock fans have flocked to his gigs and changed the way we view glamberts forever!! Our illustrious fandom is no longer glam – it has been irrevocably changed – it seems – to THUGBERTS!! adamdownunder.com/2011/05/31/adam-lambert-fans-turn-ugly/

LOL not working with top writers? Erm... oh ok den... He's already worked with all of these: Bonnie McKee - co-wrote Teenage Dream, California Girls - Katy Perry. Your argument is basically invalid for this one alone. Sia - very successful Australian artist in her own right with songs that have been used in so many tv shows it's ridiculous. Check out "Breathe me" and "I'm in here" Tedder - well yes Tedder has had songs be just album filler but he's also written some huge hits too and he's probably due an upswing. BC Jean - wrote "If I were a boy" for Beyonce. I'm pretty sure that was a big hit.... plus Nikka Costa, Toby Gad and Adam is recording in London right now and we have no idea with who.... except that we do also know Claude Kelly is here so might be him or might be a coincidence. Claude Kelly co-wrote "Party in the USA" for Miley, "My life would suck without you" for Kelly C, "Grenade" for Bruno Mars. All of which were HUGE hits and he's also been involved in a ton of songs that made Top40 in the last 2 years even if not number 1. Plus he also co-wrote FYE and CLYG which were great if utterly underappreciated tracks from Adam's first album. He likes Adam so I'd be surprised if they weren't going to work together for 2nd album. And we know Adam is going to be working with Max Martin very soon because he has said so in more than one interview. From everything we know so far this album has great promise. Can't wait to hear it!

Sia has apparently tweeted that they are not working together but we think maybe her tweet just meant that SHE isn't working with them together. Don't see how she could know their entire working schedules when not with her. Either way - the reaction of both the Adam and Xtina fans was so overwhelmingly excited and postive that if they aren't doing a duet RCA needs to get on that right now.

In 2009, at Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, immediately fell on the third line charts of the Billboard 200, and in 2010 the singer was nominated for a Grammy in the category "Best Male Vocal Performance" for the notorious Whataya Want From Me. www.rbcdaily.ru/2011/05/27/lifestyle/562949980316183rian.ruGoogle translated: Festival Maxidrom ten hours of blessed MOSCOW, May 29 - RIA Novosti. Anna Zagorodnikova. Festival Maxidrom, first passed in the format of the ten open-air, gathered on Saturday at the capital's airport Tushino under the scorching sun thousands of fans of foreign teams, which included Korn, Prodigy. Maxidrom, based Radio Maximum in the form of meetings connoisseurs of rock music in 1995, became one of the major musical events of the year. After two years he went on a special scale. In connection with the 20-year anniversary of radio station event took the format open-air and gathered thousands of people not only from different regions of Russia, but from other countries. Further warmed the crowd on a sunny day, the famous British rock band of Travis, their countrymen electronics The Prodigy, New American multiplatinum metal band Korn, and looking at their background a little poppy new hero of the Russian charts, Adam Lambert (Adam Lambert). For Russian rock Zemfira answered, and for the Baltic - Latvian group Brainstorm. It is noteworthy that a variety of musical styles, performers have caused a new trend - the constant change of the audience. From the music festival, presenting concise tour of modern rock music, Maxidrom turned into a solo concert of the participants. Queue at the input did not disappear during the day. After the concert one of the participants, the flow of people leaving the Tushino clearing, but their successors came to fans following the team. In general, this has contributed to a prepared and organized schedule of speakers. Glam rock, thirst and Zemfira Opened the festival at noon, the group Brainstorm. Listeners on Saturday morning was a little bit, but the group managed to create a positive atmosphere for its hits from different albums. After the break came on stage, Adam Lambert, who came to Russia for the first time. "It will be Glam rock ", - warned Lambert enthusiastic audience. Fans greeted him with loud applause and launched into the sky dozens of balloons. During his speech, and Adam had to sing and dance and drink the water, saying the Russian public, "To your health". But the time thought again, to loud whistles drank something strong. Singer in addition to their new songs performed hits Whataya Want From Me, If I Had You. Performances lasted an average of about 40 minutes, and during the half-hour breaks crowd entertained radio DJ Maximum. Spectators at this time wandered in search of water and light alcoholic beverages, vystaivaya long queues - the organizers obviously did not take into account the high demand for liquid Russian fans, outlets lacked. www.rian.ru/culture/20110529/381415458.htmlvmdaily.ruGoogle translated: "The phenomenon of the American Adam Lambert, copying Elvis Presley, too many have taken to heart. But this year in "line-up play" fest attended by a pair of teams from major league alternative music. . The final composition of the participants in the final order of appearance on the stage looked like this: Brainstorm, Adam Lambert, Zemfira, Travis, KORN, The Prodigy. Adam Lambert, which was designed, obviously, to draw to the festival an additional number of visitors in the face of enthusiastic schoolgirls who did not disappoint. Adam Lambert - gay glam-rocker from California, made famous during participation in the American talent-show "American Idol" in 2009. During his speech, Mr Lambert, a fan zone gathered knit crowd of young fans, who delighted his idol flashmob trained almost to every song: a inflatable ball in the sky to start, then pomashut idol big red hearts cut out of paper. People who came to Zemfira or, God forbid, who arrived in advance, hoping to live up to The Prodigy, it seems, simply did not understand who he is and what they mean. At the same time, the evergreen song "20th Century Boy" T. nyp.st/kb9xbnVH1 Behind the Music full page ad in the new issue of Rollingstone Magazine@verminjerky Adam Vs. Adam: All Hell Breaks Loose On Twitter. lolNY PostAdam Lambert tells Glambert Nation to cease fire I began to worry for Adam Levine's safety the minute he accidentally dissed Adam Lambert on "The Voice" last night. See, semi-finalist Nakia performed "Whataya Want From Me" and the Maroon 5 frontman replied with astonishment. "I’m not familiar with that song, but you just forced me to like it," he said. Adding, "I’m pretty sure, although I’ve never heard that song before, that you probably sang it better than the person that sang it originally.” Well, as a card carrying member, I knew The Glambert Nation wouldn't take that slam lying down -- and clearly their leader did as well since he almost immediately leapt to Twitter to calm any seeds of rebellion. "Fans: there is NO reason to be angry," he wrote after complementing Nakia's rendition. But the "Idol" grad also promised his upcoming album will end the "Voice" mentor's ignorance. "I think Adam might know who I am after this next album. Get ready for me Levine!" nyp.st/lKZah6The Voice Nakia semifinals adamlambert Yeah Nakia! Saaaang boy!! Great performance. Cease and Desist, Glam Nation: Adam Levine Apologizes for His Adam Lambert SnubLooks like everything is hunky-dory between American Idol’s Adam Lambert and The Voice judge Adam Levine. Levine is eating his words after an unintentional snub directed toward Lambert left the Maroon 5 singer the subject of a huge Twitter backlash. When a contestant sang “Whataya Want From Me” on The Voice, Levine said he wasn’t familiar with the song, but the contestant had probably performed it better than the original artist ever did. That original artist is none other than Adam Lambert, of course. Glambert fans did not take too kindly to this comment and proceeded to eviscerate Levine via Twitter, despite the fact that The Glamz laughed it off. Realizing he’d brought the fire of the Glam Nation upon himself, Adam Levine apologized to Lambert (and his fans) via E! News, saying , “I kind of inadvertently talked s**t about Adam Lambert, which I didn’t mean to do … It was no personal, slanderous attempt on Mr. Lambert. I hope he doesn’t think that. People got really mad about it … But the one thing you should know, Adam Lambert, is that you’ve got a lot of fans out there, and they really support you. And God bless ‘em, because they just raked me over the coals on Twitter. They were pissed off, and I like it. I like that dedication.” We’re glad the two made nice and didn’t take the beef too seriously, but, uh, we’re pretty sure Levine will start memorizing Lambert’s entire musical catalogue A.S.A.P. bit.ly/m7S48aE! By way of praise, Adam Levine admitted, "I'm pretty sure that, although I haven't heard that song before, that you probably sang it better than the person that sang it originally." How could he, right?! Lambert fans took to Twitter in his defense, and the glam icon himself tweeted, "Yeah Nakia! Saaaang boy!! Great performance. I think Adam might know who I am after this next album. Get ready for me Levine. Hahah." The ensuing flurry of retweets have pushed Lambert's sophomore album up 80 places on Vulture's Anticipation Index. Beef! The track has since settled back down, falling 27-46 this week. Lambert's hit single "Whataya Want From Me" moved to recurrent status on the Adult Top 40 charts almost a year ago and topped the Adult Top 40 Recurrents chart in September 2010, where it became one of Lambert's six Billboard No. 1s. I had not heard a thing about the Adam vs Adam thing. I don't watch The Voice and I'm certainly not a Maroon 5 fan so this was news to me. What a big do about nothing. Well, the saying there's no such thing as bad news certainly applies here. I guess that's one way for Adam Levine to start selling records again. LOL!

The Adam VS Adam thing is literally one of the stupidest fake drama fights I have ever seen. Adam made one offhand comment that was obviously him just honestly not knowing the song or Adam Lambert and then fans and press somehow freaked out about it. Like, come on.
I am dying for this cd. I miss having male popstars out there and his last cd was just a genuinely good pop cd.
