The "Hurt" remix package is still one of my favorites in recent memory. ANOM had some decent names on it, but the best remix of the song was unofficial (DJ Amokk turned that shit OUT!)

On the official remix: Laidback Luke, Chus & Ceballos, Jody Den Broeder & Paulo.
Ultimix Extended version should be ready by Wednesday.

I'm so glad to see Jody is remixing this! his Keeps Gettin Better mix was the best one for that song IMO :dancing:, also curious about Chus & Ceballos mix, I haven't heard a mix from them from a while. :)

Interesting lineup. I have liked some of Chus & Ceballos' work. I wonder if they will do this as a full vocal or a dub.
I'll give them all a chance though.
I was hoping there would be an alt version of the original that uses those harder beats from the later parts of the track instead of the original ones.

You know, this HMM514 person seems to be having difficulties with the English language, specifically the word "official". Why does he call all bootleg remixes official? Does he not realize those 2 words actually mean the opposite thing? I politely asked that he remove that description from the remix video he made for my mashup, and he ignored me. Who is this guy anyway? |

But why on earth would you think putting "official" in the remix title helps it get more views? Have you actually done a study where you've researched this theory? I can't imagine anyone actually going out of their way to type the word "official" in the search box, along with the song/artist/title they're looking for. Plus it's just plain lying. I am happy about the 84K views though - that's pretty impressive :) It must've been picked up by an xtina fan site or embedded on a high-traffic message board or something. |

All these are "dirty" versions with the F-word intact. Remixes by Laidback Luke are said to be coming in "round two". I actually am liking the Jody dB mix better than I thought I would. Amazing drop-off and synth note at the one-minute mark. Really cool freestyle type breakdown too - again, something I would usually find cheesy and forced, but in this case I really REALLY think it'll tear up a dancefloor. Not feeling the Chus & Ceballos mixes, even though the beats are hotter. The way it has these long chorus sections w/ no beats, then launches into the boring no-vocals sections of beats -- I just don't care for it. Gotta give 'em props though for their unconventional structuring of the vocals. I'm hoping these mixes will be up on Masterbeat or even iTunes soon enough - fans will definitely be wanting them.

I've yet to hear a mix of his that I haven't enjoyed.

I found the mixes to be really underwhelming. Jody's is okay. Chus & Ceballos' are really blah too. The Ultimix is the best one.

I figured taj would have them eventually, I just didn't know he'd have them up that fast. Ty :) EDIT: well it was bound to happen eventually, Jody's was a bit of a disappointment. I'm not convinced it's his fault though, I think it's just this song. I liked the Ultimix idea though, keep the original intact without added drums and whatnot, just extended with a professional touch. I wish they would do that with tracks that didn't suck. |

I like Jody's. The C&C one is terrible IMO. The ultimix is alright. Hope the other ones step it up a bit.

This was hella fun doing this mash, the hardest part was finding beats for the intro/outro, and making them blend seamlessly with the rest of the production. DJ MichaelAngelo still has the best mix in IMO... I have to agree. I had high hopes for Jody's mix but it feels pretty lifeless to me. Granted, this isn't the strongest song she's ever done, but there was more remix potential than what we've gotten thus far. She seems like she's kind of struggling to keep her place amongst the current dance-pop divas. |

Has anyone heard the Henry Guzman Overdose remix? That remix gets rave reviews whenever I play it. Its cute cuz it maintains the trance vibe and highlights the scream in the beginning! Love it!
