A live version of their Hot 100 hit from a few years ago heads to all rock formats next week via Billboard. Always has been one of my favorite rock tracks of the last decade. And not just because Fenway Park is my second home. This will also be featured on next month's Promo Only Modern I believe.

What is the point is doing this? I know it's become a popular song at sporting events over the past year or so, but I can't say I quite understand the reason behind releasing any version of it.

I doubt it charts on alternative. I believe this version clocks in at less than 3 minutes.

Without checking the archives, I assume it went recurrent because of the +20/<50 rule. I'll see what I can find.

there is none, probably wont get any adds outside of New England Oh yeah, I can see this getting some big airplay on WFNX, WBOS and WBRU. Kind of surprised that they've never had an Alternative Top 40 hit yet. Maybe my perception of their popularity is skewed because I live in New England and they're insanely popular up here. I do know that they're definitely more popular than their rival band, Flogging Molly and yet, FM had two songs from their last album manage the Alternative Top 40.

"State of Massachusetts" should have been a big hit for them, that song was awesome.
