Interesting spotlight. Maybe they'll feature songs from a certain year sporadically throughout the next few years until they cover all the years, except maybe for years this century, since that's a little too current (although they did feature four Archive songs from the 2000s). I figured they'd play "Second Chance" by 38 Special, since that song was the top song of 1989, before the number one song, but instead they played a song that you don't hear very often on AC radio, "As Long As You Follow" by Fleetwood Mac. Also, not played much anymore is "The Best" by Tina Turner, which was also featured as part of the Spotlight. Archive songs not played that often include "Mercy Mercy Me", "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine", "Dim All The Lights" and "Wasted On The Way". So they had a pretty good selection of songs this week, although they played "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett for what seems like the hundredth time. And they have played a few other Jimmy Buffett songs on the show before. I remember "Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes" on at least one occasion, and even his remake of the Van Morrison classic "Brown-Eyed Girl". I think it would be cool if they played "Fins", since that's my favorite Jimmy Buffett song.
