Much better than his current single. I don't like it nearly as much as "Wanna Get To Know You" though. He's almost as bad as Shyne.

Why is there such a big deal about him? There was "Free Yayo" shirts and everybody was talking about him and he sucks. Mad hype for no reason.

XXL MAG REVIEW Tony Yayo THOUGHTS OF A PREDICATE FELON It's hard being the underdog in a winning crew. Tony Yayo rocked inmate orange while his G-Unit click stunted on the industry with diamonds of all colors. But once Tony was home, the unfiltered Queens native talked greasier than Soul Glo. It's no suprisethat his first album, Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon, is more shameless self-admiration than personal disclosure. Fortunatley, Tony has enough energy, personality and cohesive beats to make superficiality sound good. Favoring wit over wisdom, the always energetic MC offers an influx of amusing one-liners. "I'm making on theroad, autographing asses/While you're on the silver horse with your metro pass," he boasts atop Sebb's synthesizer shower on "It Is What It Is," reflecting the album's predominant "Fuck you, look at me" braggadocio. His showy nature becomes more abrasive over Eminem's Militant percussion on "Drama Setter," as he violently crushes egos alongside a scene-stealing cameo from under-rated Obie Trice. Fully switching into Tony Saprano mode, the unnerving organ arrangement of "Homicide" has Yayo dismissing mataphores for straightfoward threats, as he warns, "I'll haveyou laying in heaven, while your mom and your pops are in a deep state of depression." Yayo momentarily loses steam when he silences his guns. More fighter than lover, he struggles unconvincingly with flirtation over Sam Sneed's electric guitars on "Curious," and kills sexual appetites on the Jagged Edge-assisted "Project Princess," with crude lines like, "I'll eat your furburger." Fortunately, Tonys inner mack falls back elsewhere. On the perverse"Dear Suzie," Yayo returns to wild form, candidly replying to Stanyelle's jail mail: "You're only writing letters 'cause I'm heading toward the riches/I'm only writing 'cause your head game seems vicious." Spitting such reckless logic throughout Thoughts of a Predicate Felon, Yayo crafts his unit's most entertaining effort since 50's mixtape days. Hate it or love it, this underdog's scratching his way to the top. -- MATT BARONE

Watch Tony Yayo's new video Curious. music.yahoo.com/musicvideos/lists/new.asp?p=3Scroll down till you see Tony Yayo Curious! Must have IE (Firefox will not work). Tony Yayo: So Destructive By Jayson Rodriquez Tony Yayo is a loose cannon. While his man Fif was busy putting the rap game in a choke hold, the Talk of New York, as he’s known now, was only the talk of Rikers Island back then [what up Mike Joooones!] due to parole violations stemming from gun charges he caught while hugging the block. Now, however, Tony’s home and the Queens native’s fresh-out-the-pen mentality has subsequently meshed with his crew’s new fresh-out-the-G4 mindstate, which, at this point, only adds insult to injury to the rest of the Rap community. Here, the unpredictable G-Unit soldier cocks back the hammer and takes aim on everyone from Fat Joe and The Game to the NYC Hip-Hop scene and music industry vet Jimmy Henchman. Fire! Just please let AllHipHop.com get safely out the way… AllHipHop.com: So this album was done half while you were in prison and half while you were free, right? Yayo: Well, a lot of the first songs I was making….I made too much aggressive songs, so I had to make some music like “So Seductive” and I did the Jagged Edge record and the Joe record, I wrote those in the town. Everybody ain’t go to jail, so everybody can’t relate to the things I went through, you know what I mean? But I have major street issues on my album; records like “Dear Suzie” and “Homicide,” “Eastside/Westside,” those were lyrics that I had in jail already and I just formulated them to beats. But I have more stuff that your whole family could relate to. AllHipHop.com: What was it like for you to have to work on the album while you were house arrest? Yayo: It was kind of frustrating, because you would hear Banks going here, Buck going here, 50 going there, so when they come back, I’d be happy, you know? But I had the females and my peoples keeping me company. But you know, it was winter time so it wasn’t too bad, you know? AllHipHop.com: What’s your take on The Game and his departure from G-Unit? Yayo: He had his own ulterior motive. You look at it, like, we had our issues with other rappers, he said he would do songs with them. The whole thing is, all right, stay out the beef, you don’t want no parts of the beef, you want to be cool with Fat Joe and all them. But my whole thing is don’t do songs with them. It’s not like we’re telling you what to do. Nobody’s telling you what to do. It’s not what you do, its how you do it. I mean, if 50 helps you out in a situation, you suppose to be behind 50 one-hundred percent, no matter what. Because if it wasn’t for you, that situation wouldn’t have occurred. But right now, I’m not really focused on that kid. He’s gonna be a VH1 special by next year. AllHipHop.com: There seems to be a perception that G-Unit exploits beefs to sell more albums, based on conflict and controversy. Yayo: I tell people every time, G-Unit ain’t Gimmick Unit. We just say what we say when we want to say it. And instead of being subliminal, we’ll say your name. Them beef records don’t do nothing for us. Those beef records don’t play on the radio. They might play on a couple of late night shows, but nothing serious. It’s not playing on Top 40. So people who say that we’re Gimmick Unit, dudes is just mad. Rappers is just mad. And I’ll say rapper’s name. Like, me, I’ll tell you, Cassidy is mad. Fat Joe is mad. The Lox is mad. They all mad. But they won’t…they say stuff subliminally. And then they get on their mixtapes and try to say stuff to assassinate dude’s characters. Oh, 50’s a rat. Oh, Yayo was in P.C. Come on, man. Do you really think if we were gold artists, if each of us went Gold, do you think we’d have the beef we have? We, WE, have New York City on our back. Right now Down South is running the Rap game. Atlanta, Texas, everywhere else is running the rap game. We the only ones out of New York City that’s making noise. Jay-Z is gone. Besides that, ain’t nobody making noise. That’s why you got Mike Jones selling more [his first week] than Fat Joe’s first week. ‘Cause dudes is putting out garbage! Put out some hot music. Don’t hate me ‘cause my music is hot. AllHipHop.com: You mentioned gimmicks earlier in regards to beefing, I’m sure you’ve seen the G-UNOT shirts and the giant rats, etc. Yayo: Game is just following suit. Game don’t got nothing to say about 50, so he’s just gonna dick r*de what the New York n***as got to say. But when you look at it, ain’t Jimmy Henchman [Game’s manager] the so-called n***a that set up ‘Pac? And you from California? So how the f**k you got love for California when 2Pac said f**k this n***a. Jimmy Henchman is a washed up O.G. That n***a don’t scare me, man. When I see this n***as I look at them as washed up O.G.s. It’s our time to shine. F**k all that. N***as is washed up and they hating because we making money and we selling these records. They hating ‘cause the crib got a f**king elevator in it. They hating because I’m about to buy a mansion. They hating ‘cause Buck got a mansion. They hating ‘cause Sha Money got a mansion. I’m the only one without a mansion, I got a condo. I’m looking a mansion right now as we speak. And 50’s mansion, we could put ten rappers houses together and it still won’t amount to the acres of Mike Tyson’s old crib. That’s why they hating. ‘Cause we ain’t gotta walk up steps, we press buttons. F**k these n***as, man. As well as Game, too. F**k him. AllHipHop.com: Where were you during his infamous Summer Jam performance? Yayo: Oh, I was in the condo, laid up. I was chillin. I had to be in the house at nine o’ clock. I live this s**t, you know what I’m saying? I got a curfew still, these n***as don’t live this s**t. But him beating up a rat onstage don’t prove nothing to me. That don’t mean nothing. ‘Cause at the end of the day, you know what’s crazy? 50 is getting half his publishing. So go on and put on a show, for every Documentary that sells, he’s getting a dollar. It don’t matter, that’s coming right back to the table. Matter of fact, all the proceeds he get from Game, I’ma say, 50 lemme get all the money you got from Game and let me spend some of it. Come on, man. Game is a bum ass n***a. Think about it, this guy was on Change of Heart talking about he was in the dope spot. Same guy, “F**k Jay-Z. Oh, Jay-Z is a legend to me.” Same guy, “Yayo’s the rawest in Rap. F**k Yayo.” Same guy, screaming “Lloyd Banks,” called Lloyd banks buy his ass didn’t come. Come on, son. That dude is a clown. He’s a put together gangster. When my album comes out, I’m gonna show and prove. And if I sell what I want to sell my first week, call me Tsunami Yayo. He’s Hurricane Game, call me Tsunami Yayo, cause I’m dissing everybody. I’m throwing everybody under the bus. If I sell the number I wanna sell my first week, I swear to God I’m f**king going bananas on everybody, believe that. AllHipHop.com: What’s that number? Yayo: I wanna go about 625 to 700 [thousand]. AllHipHop.com: Why do you think Rap crews have problems with loyalty? Yayo: Because these dudes didn’t grow up with each other. And I’ma be honest with you, when you look at situations like Fat Joe’s album. Does it have Remy Martin on it? Does it have Armageddon on it? That tells you right there, brother. That tells you right there, right? If these are your artists, if they’re Terror Squad, why the f**k they ain’t on your album? Right? It doesn’t make sense. If 50 does an album, he’s gonna throw us all on there. He’s gonna throw Olivia on there, he gonna throw me on there, he’s gonna throw Banks on there, he’s gonna throw Buck on there. Right? Now, you look at that situation right there. Him putting Remy on the album is exposure for her, I don’t understand why she’s not on the album. Why’s Armageddon not on the album? What kind of s**t is that? Because a lot of these rappers, don’t wanna see their people shine. They wanna be number one, numero uno. That’s what it comes down to.

Question: What's up Yayo? Thanks for taking the time to talk to DUBCNN. To start it off, let everybody know when your debut album is dropping. Whatup Nima!
I'm chillin' man! It was crazy out here last night, you know what I mean? The name of my album is called "Thoughts of A Predicate Felon", it's coming out August 30th. The reason I called it "Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon" is cause I wrote half of the album while I was incarcerated, and the other half on the streets.I got features too, I got my favorite white boy, I got 50 Cent, I got Lloyd Banks, I got Young Buck, I got Obie Trice, I got olivia, I got Jagged Edge, I got Spider Loc from the Westside, I got Joe, and I got production by Dr. Dre, Havoc, Em (2x), Focus, I got various producers, I'm not going by the name, I'm going by quality producers.
Question: The ammount of Gangsta rappers in the game right now is so large, that it's hard to keep an overview. What are you doing to distinguish yourself from all the gun talk and killing on wax that would make you stand out?
I can tell you that real quick. I mean If you heard my hit record "So Seductive", that's in the street right now, I can make all kinds of records. I got a record with Joe where I wrote the hook it's called "Curious", I got a record with Jagged Edge called "Private Princess" I wrote the hook too, so you know, I got various kinds of music. I got another song out right now that's called "Pimpin'", it's another club banger. It's not just gun talk and all that, it's the reality of my life. It's just the harsh reality of my life.
But then, I also got some Jagged Edge, I got songs with Joe, with R&B Hit Hooks, like 21 Questions, like Karma, In Da Club. So me, Buck, Banks, 50, got the ability to make both, and that's what makes us different from alot of these gangsta rappers.
Question: What do you say to people that say G-Unit turned pop and has watered itself down with the mainstream first singles?
You know what man? I mean c'mon, G-Unit turned pop... If you heard 50 Cents album "The Massacre", it was hard records. "Somebody Gone Die 2Nite" and all kinds of hard records. And then you got your club records. Like "Candy Shop". And his first one had that too, "In Da Club". It's just different shit that people can relate to.
Question: Your song "So Seductive" was different from what you were doing before. If it was up to you, would you still have released that song as the first single?
Oh yeah of course! I know everybody expected a hard street record to be my first single, but that hard street record ain't gonna bang back in the club, it's not gonna rock overseas, it's just that you gotta make music for the world. It's a difference between makin' music for your hood, and makin' music for the world. But I got records on my album that's street hard, "Homocide", "Eastside Westside" and shit, but then I got songs that your grandmother could dance to.
Question: When The Game was on G-Unit, he was riding for you hard. You've probably heard 300 Bars and the Game mixtape going at G-Unit. What was your first reaction when you heard it?
I'm not mad at him.. I mean Game is a young dude, he's making alot of bad decisions right now. I mean he just contradicts himself. This is the same guy who told Jay-Z to suck his dick, tell Beanie Sigel to suck his dick. He said on MTV, that I'm the most rawest rapper in G-Unit. And then the next day he said I was wack! He said G-Unit is the Eastcoast NWA. And now it's G-Unot. He said all kinds of things man, this is the same dude that said all kinds of things and contradicted hisself.
Right now I'm just trying to be down to earth, I just went through the streets and signed 50 autographs. All the artists ain't doin' that. Me and my *****z took two young Bloods of the streets, they was Bloods. These *****z was dirty. I took my sneakers off my feet and gave it to them. Took them to our hotel, gave them haircuts, got them all G-Unit clothes, and we brought them backstage to our show. What rappers you know who keep it real like that? You know what I'm sayin? I'm a loyal dude man, I learned from 50 Cent, I learned from Jam Master Jay Rest In Peace man, I've been riding with 50 when he got shot and he got dropped and we did the mixtapes. I'm the last one coming out but I'm a loyal dude, and I love that dude. I love Buck, I'm just a loyal dude. If you down with me I'ma ride or die for you.
Question: Has Hip-Hop become so fake that people make up at a conference and then go on and diss each other again? Hip-Hop has been reminding me of the WWE Wrestling lately, with all these beefs... What's your take on that?
I mean for the Game situation man, we moving on. I don't think about it, it was a business move, somehting had to be done. It is what it is. 50's a boss. He just signed Mobb Deep, he just signed M.O.P., my album comes out August 30th, we got Olivia "Behind Closed Doors" coming, we got Mobb Deep album they bout 30 songs in, M.O.P. is like 30 songs in, Banks and Bucks new album are done, we got a movie soundtrack coming out in November, with me Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, M.O.P. Mobb Deep, Olivia. We just signed another California artist, Spider Loc. So we not biased or nothin', you know what I mean? We still got love for California, we just signed another California aritst. It's all good. Basically it was like, 50 wrote half of Game's album, and then when it was done and he sold 4 million, he said Fuck It! That's what it came down to!
Question: To close the Game topic, what would happen if you ran into Game today in traffic?
I'm not even thinking about that dude! Oh man, let me tell you something, I'm on state parole man, I'm not finna do nothing to nobody. I'm not even focusing on that. But as for 50, 50's been real. From the 80's, the 90's, his life is real. And we don't glorify what we do, we just came from the bottom man, and now we on top! So dudes hate!
Question: G-Unit just signed Mobb Deep and M.O.P. Specially Mobb Deep was surprising, as 50 kind of dissed them on The Massacre. I guess it's all about the money, huh?
That was just a lil thing man, it wasn't nothin'. Both me and 50, we been fans of Mobb Deep ever since Shook Ones! And 50 holla'd at them, we got on tour, did some songs, they on 50's Massacre Re-Release on the bonus track, and they doing their album!
Question: I heard you have Kokane on 3 songs, how did you hook up with Koka?
Oh yeah! I got a record called "So High", I wrote the hook, I got Kokane on it. It's about smokin' that chronic, you know?
Question: Is it true he's going to be signing with G-Unit?
Oh nah, Kokane is cool, Kokane is a good dude, hopefully in the future we'll work some more but he's not on G-Unit.
Question: There's also rumours circulating that Jayo Felony is about to sign to G-Unit... Do you know anything about that?
Nah, I don't really know anything about that...
Question: Are you personally a fan of West Coast Hip-Hop?
Of course man! Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, MC Ren, come on man! I could keep going on! Ice Cube! I mean West Coast Rap really paved the way for Gangsta Rap, they made it cool to do gangsta rap. Nate Dogg! I mean 2Pac is one of the greatest! Him and Biggie Smalls, Biggie is from the East, and them two is the greatest!
Question: Have you hooked up with Papoose yet?
Oh yeah Papoose is my guy, we haven't recorded anything yet but I've been freestyling with him, he's cool dude, I listened to his music, I got nothing but good things to say about him and Kay Slay, they real *****z, good *****z. The dude is hot!
Question: If somebody has enough money to buy 1 record, has 10 to choose from though, why should he pick up yours?
Why should he pick mine? Because if you listen to G-Unit, all the albums have been quality, so that's a good reason right there, and then my album is very diversified, I got the club bangers, I gave you Pimpin', that's killing the clubs right now, I got a record with Joe called "So Curious", and I'm just the last one coming out, it's my time to shine! I mean you heard the mixtapes, you heard me on Banks album, you heard me on Games album, on Bucks album, I mean come on!
Question: What's the future for Tony Yayo after this album?
The future for Tony Yayo, probably some acting, 50 got his movie, Get Rich Or Die Tryin' coming out, I got all kinds of endorsment deals, video game "Bulletproof" coming out in November. I got another video game coming out, I got my own sneaker deal, I'm working on my own liquor deal, I'm working on real estate! Rap is not the only focus, I'm a business man.
Question: I appreciate you taking to time to answer the questions, is there anything else you'd like to let everybody know?
Oh man I just wanna thank everybody for the support, everybody that's locked up, that's out, 50 and the whole squad. Mobb Deep, Spider Loc, everybody, I wanna thank everybody. Support my album, I'm a real ***** I make real music, August 30th, I got a classic album, it's comparable to Get Rich Or Die Tryin', I'm gonna show the world something!

Tony Yayo is dumb and has nothing going for him. 2 singles out before your CD drops is a sign of desperation. He must be crazy if he thinks he can even sell over 200,000 the first week. Curious isnt too bad but sounds too much like the generic "lady-friendly" second single and whoever already said it, Yayo does have an annoying voice. I can't take seriously when he talks about being a gangster either
