This is a cover of the Donna Summer classic. I love Donna's recording of it. The only other cover I liked was the short portion Selena did during her "Disco Medley" a very short time before her tragic death.

Being a die-hard Donna fan, I'm not sure what I think about it. I want to hate it, but it's kinda smooth.
In trying to find out more information, it is also being linked to Guetta in a number of places, but it really has a Tiesto feel to it.

Not sure how I feel about this. No one can sing anything as well as Donna summer can!
I do like the vocals though-much more than the mix. I wonder who else will mix it. I'd like to hear ralphi

I'm sure everyone under the sun will be remixing this, so don't worry!

This is kind of...random. I was hoping J. Lo would move in a dance-ier direction, so I guess I shouldn't complain. She certainly cannot compete with Donna's vocals though. Maybe she's just really into songs with repetitive choruses right now.

It doesn't sound anything like Guetta, but it is a rather weird hybrid of House and Progressive (and clearly the work of a very commercial house producer). There's no way a progressive artist did this. It's not a very good song for it's genre; the song never quite peaks the way it should. The build-up is very bland and as a result the song kind of just lumbers on-though maybe a radio edit will cut out a verse or two and make the whole thing punchier.

I agree with all of this, although for some reason, I really like it. I've listened to it a number of times. It does need a build of some-sort, as it stays kind of flat line. But the fact I've listened to the DS version a million times and still want to keep listening to this version says something. Really curious what kinda of remix treatment it will get. I hate to say, but prob my fav JLO song in a long time. If it had been done as a close cover of the DS original (like, as in arrangement and sound), then it would probably be terrible, but in its current form, it's interesting I think.

It's certainly a better Donna cover than amber singing "no more tears!"
