This has been in the Top 50 for quite a bit and is currently at #41. (and it just squeezed into the Top 40 of Billboard's chart). Didn't see a thread for it already.
This is the new alternative country/folk band led by the (former?) lead singer of Ima Robot.
I like this song, but I don't understand how this is getting so many plays on an Alternative format either. As far as I can remember, alternative country has historically never done well on alternative radio.

I like it, but I prefer "40 Day Dream."

I've liked this song for quite awhile. It really grew on me after about five listens probably three or four months ago. Made it inside my personal top 20 and I'm glad to see it get some spins and make it's way into the outer reaches of the charts at least.

This is more country than anything on the Country chart...but that's not a bad thing. Let's hope it does well.

after further listens I have now changed my opinion of this song from "okay, but not really impressed" to "i'm completely obsessed with this" (i've deleted my "not impressed" comment from my original post). Man, I shouldn't have doubted my love for alternative country.
I'm still amazed this is doing even this well. As I said before, alt country artists usually fail to crossover from Triple A. This includes Wilco, a band that has not done as well on Alternative as most would assume (just the one entry - "Outtasite" back in 1996).

I heard this for the first time in the past few days. Top 30... yeah... wow.
I'm not going to lie, I'm not much of an alt-country fan, so my opinion of the song is probably irrelevant.

This has grown on me considerably with each of the 3 or 4 listens I've given it. Rooting for this one now.
(Though, another charting song notably outside my wheelhouse that I like even more, yet is having less success at this point is Mumford & Sons' "Little Lion Man.")

A friend of mine is totally in love with this album and played it twice in a row as background music when we hung out last week. His enthusiasm made me like "Home" way more than I already had been, and since then, I've streamed the album 3-4 times the past 2-3 days. Not exactly a style that's up my alley, nor something I'd buy at this point, but there's a few songs on there that stood out. "Desert Song" was the one I liked best, aside from "Home," of course.
I'll probably find a download of the album at some point.
Cross-posted something very similar in the M&S "Little Lion Man" topic.
"Home" just debuted at #15 on my personal chart this week. In fact, I currently like it more than "Little Lion Man" now, which I debuted at #31 this week.

KFOG and Live 105 have been giving this a few spins on their new music programs for what seems like the past year and it sounds like a generic original-but-yet-uninspired-and-totally-forgettable-hipster-indie-wannabe band-with-a-borderline-asinine-band-name that would only get played on programs like that. Because of this I can't give it higher than a C-, to start off.
But then all of the sudden this (as well as Mumford & Sons, which I never would have expected either for about half of the same reasons as above and another half of totally different reasons) debut on the Alt. Top 50. I thought it was because of the new recurrent rule and they'd be off in a week or two, but now they're safe, for the time being, around #30. I don't get it.

I'd honestly chalk that up to the fact that "Home" has been around for quite awhile now and LLM is just getting started, I expect it to finish with a higher peak than "Home". I like them both though, I think I'm sparking my indie side a lot more lately.
