I just realized that Dierks Bentley's new album comes out June 8th, too. Christina has a LOT of competition - Dierks, Glee, Twilight, Travie McCoy, Lil' Jon...I thought she had #1 in the bag, but I'm not so sure now. It's definitely going to be close.

Great job around the world Christina no flop there. I'm starting to wonder if alot of these people are Gaga fans or Christina haters, i mean it's getting ridiculous, her album has received many great reviews also. She's doing well in around the world. Amazon is a small portion of sales. I hope that she can atleast pull out 200 to 225k. That would be really good for her, considering she does'nt have a hit single out right now, but she does have a ton of promo. Travie McCoy is not in contention, Dierks will debut well but i'm not sure he's vieing for number 1, Glee has good sales weeks but not anything explosive. Lil' Jon will do alright, but i haven't heard much from him. I still think Christina can pull this out, yall are acting so uptight about this lol.

Here's the Glee and Twilight previous first week numbers:
Glee Vol. 1: 113,000 (debuted at #1) Glee Vol. 2: 173,000 (debuted at #3) Glee: Power of Madonna: 98,000 (debuted at #1) Glee Vol. 3: 136,000 (debuted at #1)
Twilight Soundrack: 165,000 (debuted at #1) Twilight New Moon Soundtrack: 84,850 (short week (only 2 or 3 days), debuted at #2, but sold 153,000 in first full week and climbed to #1)
I think it'll be Twilight, Xtina, then Glee. But... the Glee EP is for the music from the Season Finale of Glee so that might give it a huge boost. Depending on that, Xtina might be #3, but I don't think she has a prayer for #1.

Ok first of all travie Mccoy is not gonna be a threat for xtina also Lil Jon. Shes gonna be in the top 3 and can have the #1 album if all the hardcore money paying stans buy the album the first week. After that the album will sell gold by the end of the year.

Great job around the world Christina no flop there. Wait until actual chart placements are revealed, instead of looking at iTunes, which doesn't mean anything for digital albums.

Why would you want these lyrics? Oh right, cuz they don't compare to Madonna's brilliant lyrics about her nannies, accountants and personal chef. Ha! Yeah...because Xtina is known for her profound, deep, original songwriting!!!!!!! WooHoo is a real lyrical milestone. Xtina should get into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame for that one! BTW- check my previous posts. I am a big Xtina fan. But don't bring Vadge into arguements just to compensate for Xtina's shortcomings.

Twilight and Glee are her biggest worries. Their tween appeal is the only thing she has to fear.

Yeah and I think Glee will conquer seeing that its stars are bigger than Christina Aguilera no 13 year old girl know who Xtina is but they all know Rachel Berry from Glee and ............. those vampires.

Ok. Now that i've had time to fully hear the album for about a week, Elastic Love is my favorite song from the album LOVE, and the album is so long this would have been the ideal tracklisting : 01. Bionic 02. Not Myself Tonight 03. Woo Hoo 04. Elastic Love 05. Life Me Up 06. You Lost Me 07. I Hate Boys 08. My Girls 09. Vanity 10. I Am (Stripped) 11. Monday Morning 12. Bobblehead 13. Birds Of Prey Then it would have been a near perfect album, anyways i'm impressed with the album :o

$9.98 at Target and $14.98 for the Deluxe. Literally $5 extra for 5 extra songs.

I'm annoyed the deluxe doesn't include lyrics. It's the most "expensive" package anyway, so why the hell wouldn't it include every formality? The best songs are on the deluxe!
Anyway, I love "Birds Of Prey" way too much. I'm baffled as to why it's not on the original tracklisting.

It seems like Monday Morning would be the best choice for a second single even though it's on the Deluxe Edition only. Also, I wonder what happened to Kimono Girl which was in the early confirmed tracks. Hmmm.
I really love this album but must say the tension between her adult desire to evolve artistically and her petty concern with being the "flyest bitch of them all" is painful at times. It's like going to a grand opera house and the main soprano suddenly stops the show and starts rapping about how cool she is, "Y'all know I'm hip, right? Y'all know I'm hip RIGHT!!?"
As for the album, I love the overall sound and the pop + underground-electro direction. Melodies are great and her vocals are off the hook. Because I like the album so much, I find it worth stating that I would sincerely hope to hear her one day omit the moments that are not just mediocre but downright embarrassing. My Girls doesn't really say anything relevant but amalgamates some mainstream sounding platitudes about how she "rolls" with her clique. Blah. I Hate Boys has a few moments but it's jejune and too desperately gropes for the approval of a teenage audience. Desnudate is a trite waste of an interesting sounding track. Singing about nudity might have been edgy in 1990, but come on already, it's 2010. Vanity has a great chorus and opening verse but then collapses on itself with half-hearted repetitions of the word bitch that leave me cringing for her. Very close to being an amazing A+ camp track if a skilled lyricist had polished it up first.
Other than that, I love it. I even find Woohoo to be enjoyable since its delivery is very unapologetic. The ominuous intro is hilarious. It's like ...scary music... uh oh... u know it's coming... A very self-aware song.
I'm looking forward to peppering in the deluxe edition tracks with the main album and omitting the "yuck" moments.

Can't wait to hear Christina sing it! it's not much different from the Haiti performance The production on the album version brings it to a more happier side of somebody wanting that one need back. Its more along the lines of a Pop SMASH than a Hot AC / Triple A SMASH. The ending vocals are rearranged to perfection and the background vocals underneath subtly are heavenly.

Someone who has been working behind the scenes at the MTV Movie Awards tweeted this:Quote: I just caught a sneak peek of Christina Aguilera's #MTVMovieAwards performance...and let me tell you - You don't wanna miss it.
At #mtvmovieawards about to walk into Christina A rehearsal - just met her husband, seems like a great guy.
@charlonperguez aahh I can't give the details away! I'll just say that it tops her performance from the 2008 VMAs. Watch tomorrow night!
@dreamerrr2010 They're both totally different! Each artist stays true to their style. (But I think Xtina may blow the roof off the place)
Also, an insider said she's performing a medley Bionic, NMT and WooHoo

Here is the Guardian UK review:
Christina Aguilera: Bionic(RCA) Kitty Empire The Observer, Sunday 6 June 2010 larger | smaller Article history Christina Aguilera's Bionic is playing catch-up to Lady Gaga. The arms race fought out among pop's leading women has recently gone nuclear, thanks to the Gaga Effect. Last year, Lady Gaga threw lobster headdresses into the fray, as well as some increasingly baroque pop. She thoroughly surrealised sexiness, sold a bazillion records and now everyone, including multiple Grammy-winning, pluri-platinum pop diva Christina Aguilera, is playing catch-up.
Cue the video for "Not Myself Tonight", the lead single from Aguilera's fourth album, Bionic, which finds the diminutive Aguilera in a bling gimp outfit, getting all sapphic. At one point, she laps from a bowl like a cat, a reference to Madonna's 1989 video for "Respect Yourself".
Aguilera is no stranger to raunch, having upped the ante with the video for "Dirrty" in 2002. Pop is both hall of mirrors and echo chamber, constantly refracting and reflecting its queen bees – Madonna, Britney, Stefani, Christina, Gaga – back at each other. Hearing Bionic as a riposte to Lady Gaga's "Monster" is inevitable. But this is not the whole story.
Mostly, Bionic cleaves closer to the sex-mad, urban R&B model that predated Gaga's absurdist vision and continues to sell. Two it-guy producers, Polow da Don and Tricky Stewart, provide Bionic's backbone of sweaty club bangers. Away from their clutches, Bionic can stall. A syrupy Aguilera pushes "Sex for Breakfast" like R Kelly might; mid-disc, there's an R&B-free zone of lady-mush.
Bionic's power lies in its core limb-shaking sass, even as it confuses girl-on-girl action with sisterhood. "Woohoo", which hymns the joys of cunnilingus, is great fun, pitting she-MC Nicki Minaj against Aguilera, whose big pipes remain under wraps for great swaths of Bionic's electro-powered segments.
For the best part of a year, rumours circulated about Aguilera's collaborators, and even the most outlandish have turned out to be true. The biggest surprise here is "My Girls", a sisterly discoid delight attributed to feminist electropunks Le Tigre, closely followed by "Bobblehead", a diss track co-authored by Santigold.
You could, therefore, just about argue that Bionic is a cranking post-feminist party album; certainly, the lubricious Aguilera exudes very little of the victimhood of her fellow former Mouseketeer Britney Spears.
But that might just be taking things a bit far. A bit like Jaime Sommers, the original bionic woman, Bionic is very strong, but only in parts.
