LOL! On Twitter: theRealEsthero: why does everybody gotta be a bionic robot from the future? what ever happened to just steppin on stage and singing the s**t outta the song? She is just mad because she would never be invited to the US to sing at an awards show, even one as meaningless as the MTV Movie Awards. She should just sing McDonald's jingles in Canada or something. Anyway, enough about never-weres. Hey guys! I see it's the same old sh*tstorm, different day. I can't wait til tomorrow!!!!! I will enjoy this album just like I enjoyed Mariah's last. I don't care about record sales as long as I, the fan, enjoy the album. I wish others could be the same, instead of being so obsessed with flopping sales. This is the only place I have been to where people are SO obsessed with album sales. It's amusing, actually. I had a nightmare last night that I went to this big mall-like structure so that I could buy this album as soon as the Best Buy inside opened. I waited in a long line for the store to open and as soon as it did, mass chaos ensued, with everyone running into the store and getting trampled to death. I was told that the music section of the Best Buy was actually across the street. I had to dodge traffic (I almost got hit by a car!) to get to the music section, only to be told the album was sold out. I woke up in a cold sweat.

WHEN WILL THEY ANNOUNCE A SINGLE?! If they're filming a video for WooHoo, then send the song to CHR, for crying out loud. If CHR adds were based on Pulse threads, it'd be on its 4th re-release already!

I actually think Bionic will have a pretty good opening week WW but albums sell the most in the first 5 weeks of release and I see massive drops across the board in the next four weeks following the opening week.

Xtina owns it!. Amazing reviews everywhere. MTV
Christina Aguilera got futuristic, funky and downright freaky at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, performing a supercharged medley of songs from her forthcoming Bionic album — which comes out Tuesday — that hit hard and probably got millions of people all hot and bothered.
She kicked things off sitting down in a gilded throne, decked out in a diamond-encrusted one-piece, looking very much like a 23rd-century queen, and began rapping the opening lines of the title track from her album. She then descended to the stage and, surrounded by a crew of leather-clad dancers began throwing punches while laser blasts resounded through the audience (bonus points for the Iron Man-esque light pods she wore on the palms of her hands.)
After a bit more strutting, Aguilera's dancers surrounded her, and the electronic thump of first single "Not Myself Tonight" blared loud and proud. As steam poured from the stage, Xtina belted out the chorus, getting low and singing for the rafters.
"Tonight" segued directly into "Woohoo," minus Nikki Minaj on this night. But that didn't stop Christina from upping the heat even more, breaking into a seriously sexy dance number that was made only more hot by the fact that her dancers were now wearing glowing red hearts on their crotches.
Not to be outdone, Agulera ended things by standing tall at center stage, the camera zooming in on her midsection, which now bore a beating heart of its own. The celeb-packed audience roared their approval, and Aguilera bounded off the stage — presumably to go take a nice long, cold shower.
GOSSIP CENTER
Reclaiming her place among the hottest female performers, Christina Aguilera gave a killer showing at the MTV Movie Awards last night (June 6).
The “Come on Over Baby” songstress treated the crowd at the Gibson Amphitheatre to a three-song medley as a sign of things to come from her new album.
Belting her heart out, Christina sang “Bionic,” “Woohoo,” and “Not Myself Tonight” all while surrounded by a bevy of backup dancers.
And at the end of the high-energy run, Ms. Aguilera showed off a blinking heart cleverly positioned overtop her lady parts.
THE IMPROPER
Former Disney star Christina Aguliera broke the barrier on raunchy sexuality. Now after a hiatus and motherhood, Aguliera is back and set the stage on fire — almost literally — at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday (June 5).
Aguliera sang “Bionic/Not Myself” off her new album by the same name, which drops this month.
Aguliera was all about Hollywood galmor. But in her recent come-back video for her latest song “Not Myself Tonight,” she pushes the envelope with three-minutes of non-stop sexual debauchery.
She wore a sequined encrusted bustier with a cape and knee high boots. She looked like a cross between a dominatrix and a sci-fi queen.
Say what you will about Lady Gaga, Aguilera show off a voice that crossed several octaves that makes Gaga look like a Guber.
And, toward the end of the video her crotch lights up with a heart!. WTF!
ROLLING STONES
Christina Aguilera kicked off a medley of songs from her new disc Bionic by spinning around on giant futuristic throne in a moment recalling Madonna's grand entrance to her Sticky and Sweet Tour. The palate of the performance matched Aguilera's album cover and video for lead-off single "Not Myself Tonight": stark black and white with red accents on her lips and microphone. Snapping to attention like a pop robot, Aguilera ripped through a lock-step version of "Bionic," then segued into "Not Myself Tonight." Her platinum hair pulled into a single severe curl, Aguilera slithered with her silver-and-black-clad crew, pulling out a move that got Adam Lambert into hot water at last year's American Music Awards. Her female backup dancers revealed red hearts painted onto their crotches for "Woohoo," and Aguilera strutted confidently, finishing strong with her own LED heart pulsing on her groin __________________

Since people have been soothsaying and foretelling things for quite some time now, how bout this prediction: this thread locked tomorrow with some warnings in the inboxes of some blatant trolls. Meanwhile, Xtina, Jordy and Max continue to bathe together in a marble tub filled with 100 dollar bills and the bitter tears of haters. Maybe one day, her haters will be lucky enough to hold a $100 bill for a short amount of time.
I think I will watch that performance again at lunch time.

Christina Aguilera comes back with electronica-focused album 'Bionic' June 07, 2010 - 09:04
Ryan Pearson, The Associated Press
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Over a synth-heavy dance track, Christina Aguilera sings on her new album: "Every day I see myself I love me even more. ... Let us not forget who owns the throne."
Then, her son Max's voice pipes up: "You do, Mommy."
Does she? Aguilera is returning to music after four years away from stadium tours and Billboard charts: The multiplatinum Grammy-winner took some time to just "be married," as she says, and spent the last two years raising her son with husband Jordan Bratman. And while she's confident she'll regain her old spot at the top of the pop world, the comeback so far hasn't gone exactly according to plan.
First single "Not Myself Tonight" peaked at 23 on the Hot 100 and is now at 73. Its black leather-and-lace, S&M themed-video was picked apart as hewing too close to clips from current pop queen Lady Gaga. A summer tour was announced but cancelled within weeks.
In an interview, the 29-year-old singer makes no apologies. Aguilera says she nixed the tour to gain more time to prepare and gauge which songs on "Bionic" fans will want to hear live.
"I put on a big show. I create sets, costumes. There's major choreography and dance numbers. All of that goes along with a huge production. And I started to feel this is not the right time," she said. "It'll be a much better and bigger show when I have time to properly plan."
She notes that she's sported big, bold hairstyles, fashion and makeup since 2001's "Lady Marmalade" and says this of the 24-year-old Gaga: "I've always done what I've done as far as push boundaries and take risks. ... I think now more than ever, it's being accepted to do those kinds of things. So more power to her. And she's obviously a hard-working, focused young woman. And I have nothing but respect for that work ethic."
"I'm no stranger to comparisons in this business and being pit(ted) up against other female artists unfairly," Aguilera adds. She says the two haven't met "but I'm sure that we would get along."
Aguilera says she got along grandly with the likes of Cher and Stanley Tucci last year on the set of her first movie, "Burlesque." Set for Thanksgiving release, it follows a small-town girl who joins a Hollywood burlesque club, with a focus on sexuality that Aguilera says was right up her alley. But the shoot knocked her out of her comfort zone.
"Being the star of the film, it was a lot of hours for me. A very demanding schedule and a completely different animal as far as a creative world," she said. "All of a sudden you're thrown into expressing someone else's vision and someone else as a character, instead of me being so used to releasing myself and my words and my lyrics and my sound and my ideas onto paper and onto audio."
Among those helping release ideas on "Bionic": Australian singer-songwriter Sia and dance-friendly artists like Ladytron, Santigold and M.I.A. The album is more diverse than 2006's soulful double disc, "Back to Basics." It veers between the playful, bass-filled tease "Woohoo" featuring Nicki Minaj and the stripped-down ballad "You Lost Me," which she performed on the "American Idol" finale.
Aguilera says the electro sound that dominates the album was inspired by "play" with her son and a desire to go beyond her reputation as a once-in-a-generation singing voice.
"It's no question at this point. It's like yawn, yawn, boring, boring," she says, pantomiming a wide-mouthed, sleepy yawn. "OK, I can sit down and sing a ballad. But let's have some fun thrown into the mix. ... There's a side of me that wants to get up with all my dancers — which have now become like family to me after all these years — and put on a song and dance to it and sing to it but not have to go to these crazy insane vocal places. And you don't have to try so hard on every song to be vocally acrobatic or whatever you want to call it."
But by moving into territory already crowded with the likes of Ke$ha, Katy Perry and, yes, Gaga, Aguilera risks losing her edge, her niche.
"To me, what Christina Aguilera has that most other people don't have is an unmistakable voice," says producer Jonathan "JR" Rotem, who has worked with Rihanna and Britney Spears, but not Spears' fellow former "Mickey Mouse Club" member Aguilera. "If I was producing Christina Aguilera, I would want to capitalize on that amazing voice. That's what she has. With that voice, I'm sure she can sing the dance stuff but she can also sing the timeless ballads."
She's certainly faced down critics before. The sexually-charged video for 2002's "Dirrty" was initially derided as trampy but aided the former teen princess' move into grown-up themes and images. (It's the same road taken recently by Miley Cyrus with "Can't Be Tamed" as she departs Disney and "Hannah Montana.")
"I don't do anything that I'm going to regret, basically," Aguilera said. "Would I do certain things again? No. But there was a time and a place for it when I did it. So that's always how I go in looking at things. I can never look back. I won't ever look back. And I won't ever take anything too close to heart. There are certain things that can be said that can be hurtful and mean-spirited, but at this point in my life ... I have a decade under my belt that I'm very proud of."

looks like Aggie is starting to sing a *slightly* different tune in regards to GaGa. Isn't it funny what a flop and a nice slice of humble pie can do ? It's no longer "is it a man or a woman" or "She is nice to look at" Although it seems like she has respect for her work ethic not her and still thinks she is a "pioneer" that has been "pushing boundaries" since 2001. Another serving of humble pie should help out with that. Humble pie is sitting in the oven and should be ready next week www.macleans.ca/article.jsp?content=e3578546

I won't be able to rank the album until tomorrow, when I buy it. I look forward to that day wholeheartedly. Interesting AP article. Thanks for posting. She has a good head on her shoulders. You know what I was just thinking that really bothered me? I don't recall hearing about Christina becoming a mess, doing drugs, sleeping with all kinds of different men, etc. etc. Throughout her career, she may have made fashion choices that I don't agree with but it's her life to do with as she pleases. I would rather her be criticized for her music than to be a tabloid celebrity.

It's no longer "is it a man or a woman" or "She is nice to look at" She said those same nice things about GaGa as when she was perceived to have said those snarky things. People STAY reading wayyy too much into this and warping Christina's words to suit their devilish agendas. It's so tragic. Create your own album based on the songs favorite to least favorite using them all: 1. Bionic (top) 2. Birds Of Prey (top) 3. Elastic Love (top) 4. Not Myself Tonight (top) 5. Prima Donna (top) 6. I liked the performance, but I feel like she's trying too hard with all this sex stuff. A little sexuality is okay, but the album feels like she hasn't been laid in a year. The album would work so much better if she got rid of a lot of the sexual songs.
1. Bionic 2. Not Myself Tonight 3. Elastic Love 4. Prima Donna 5. Sex For Breakfast 6. Lift Me Up 7. I Am 8. You Lost Me 9. I Hate Boys 10. Monday Morning 11. Birds Of Prey 12. Stronger Than Ever

Well I'm not an xtina stan... I actually might even qualify as a hater, but I did enjoy this album, and I certainly can't wait to pick up my copy of the deluxe edition.
She's my #28 artist of all time, but my #6 artist of the last 3 months P:
