I just got Be last night, and I am in love with this album. I really like this song called 'Testify' and I was wondering if anyone knew who the woman was singing on that track?
I think its a really hot track, maybe not single material, but very sexy.

My favorite song on the album! JAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! They'd be foolish not to release this as a single.

I agree...funny story, I was playing this song pretty loud in my car today just jammin, and had some guys turn down their radio and roll their window all the way down to ask who the artist was...
maybe he should realise it now - it might sell a few more albums by word of mouth. :)

I was wondering if anyone knew who the woman was singing on that track? I forgot to answer that question for ya in my earlier post. That woman's voice is actually a sample from the Honey Cone's "Innocent 'Til Proven Guilty". Classic soul!!

It's the third single. It's one of my favorites on the album.

I am hearing this quite frequently here in the Chi. They have been playing it for a while, in fact ever since his CD was releaed. I think that maybe Faithful would be a good single to officially release.

The video for this song is hot. I didn't even know what this song was really talking about until the video came out. I like how Kanye and Common crafted this song around the sample they use, but the video is EXTRA HOT!! I hope radio outside of the Chi picks up on this one, and continues giving Common the props he deserves...one of the best and more positive rappers out today.

I saw the video to this yesterday. I loved how they matched the gavel, Common hitting the wall, etc. with the beat of the track. Nice touch. I agree with laguy, the video definately took the song up a notch for me. A few more spins and it was be a top 90 smash.

This is one of my favorite songs on the album. Mostly for the sample usage and the production. The only problem is that the vocal sample overcomes Common's rap. I'm to busy listening to the looped sample, I still can't decipher his rap. Do they correct this on the single version?

This is hands down the best video he's ever done. It's the most expensive too. It cost half a million dollars to make.

This is the hip-hop video of the year and this guy should be in Kanye's place success-wise.

This song is really cool. I also do wish Common was more successful than he is; his rap is definitely one of my favorite overall.

how does he afford to make this many videos with his sales and radio play? hm. the video's cool, yeah... the song ends too abruptly, i'm like "that's it?" plus it's already really short.

This is the hip-hop video of the year and this guy should be in Kanye's place success-wise. I agree about that because Common is the best rapper out there now. He deserves the same acclaim and more that Kanye, 50 and the rest are receiving. Finally, someone rapping about things of substance and he is getting recognition after almost 15 years of being in the game. Yet, 50, and these other rappers mostly talking about nothing catapult to the top of the charts and net insane radio success. It makes no sense to me.
