Then I question the accuracy of this chart. How can they possibly know how much profit was made from each tour if that data is not published or available publicly anywhere ?

I don't believe in this list I trust Billboard over People Magazine when it comes to anything music related.

Tina Turner's 50th Annversary Tour grossed more than $130 million (on par with the Circus Tour). I have a hard time believing that there were 15 female tours in the 2000's that grossed more than that. On top of that, her 24/7 Tour grossed more than $80 million in the US alone (not including the European dates) which is around twice the gross of the Dream Within a Dream Tour.
