this song is (surprisingly? maybe not) much much less addictive than "We Belong Together"

This will rise and fall fast. I can't see this outlasting or outpeaking WBT.

This song will do fine. Even if it does not do as well as WBT, it still will serve its purpose of being a radio hit and driving sales of the CD or the re-release of the CD. It is a nice listenable song, and it fits on radio pretty well. While I really do enjoy the other material on the CD, if I were Mariah and her team, I probably would have done the same thing because the other material is really, really questionable as to how radio would respond to it. So, sticking with a formula and changing it up a teeny bit is sometimes the way to go.

It tied the record for most weeks at #1 R&B.

Oh yeah! And this song will do great. I think it will hit #1 at Rhythmic, Urban and Urban AC! It may not have the longevity of "We Belong Together" but which song does?

Exactly, this is already a moderate hit IMO.

This song is okay. Its a nice song but I think its a piss poor attempt into making her #1. The song is too radio friendly and sounds too similar coming off of WBT. I just wish MC would take more risks! It seems like her/and or the label just want #1 Hot 100 songs instead of quality long lasting material. But hey..I love MC and she's my all-time fav artist. I just want her to take her music to the next level. :)

TRL announced that the new Mariah music video for "Don't Forget About Us" will premiere on TRL on Tuesday, November 1st, 2005.
Mariah is also scheduled to make an appearance on the same day on BET's 106 & Park where she will likely premiere the video as well.

That's something that doesn't even need to be said unless you're clueless and posting information on something you don't know enough about.

The point is you're saying this won't do better than a record breaking song. That's something that doesn't even need to be said unless you're clueless and posting information on something you don't know enough about. The point is - you shouldn't reply to a post you misunderstood. What I was saying is that this song will not peak @ #1 (i.e., "outpeak") and not have longevity on the chart. And, I don't appreciate you calling me clueless or uninformed. There's no reason for it, and it's unprofessional of an admin to do so.
