This is hot. It needs to keep on building up.
I don't know commercially about so many better songs on the CD. The reason why they released this joint is because it's safe. It's true that Mariah is so hot tamales right now that anything she touches would be a hit, but there's a difference between a hit and a mega-hit. We Belong Together was a mega-hit. Shake it Off was a hit. It's Like That was a baby hit, so to keep her in the superstar, major hit direction and especially that this is the time of year for this type of song, this is better. "Circles" would not cross formats. "Mine Again" already had a limited run in some Urban communites. "Say Something," while good, would've not been that big cross-over hit. There was no other song like We Belong Together that could not only be played on Pop, Rhythmic and Urban stations but also on Pop AC and Urban AC stations. This song is the magic that does that compared to the other stellar, but potentially limiting singles off of TEOM.

This song is the magic that does that compared to the other stellar, but potentially limiting singles off of TEOM. I agree about DFAU being a safe bet and it having the magic to crossover on multiple formats. However, I remember when SIO was released, a number of people, including myself, felt that it wouldn't be a hit at Pop when they selected it. Many of us didn't expect it to cross over to Urban AC and hit #6 there, especially with WBT still holding strong on that format. I think some of the songs off of TEOM may have more crossover appeal than we might think they do... or so I've learnt from my mistakes about saying SIO may not crossover as well to Pop b/c she didn't sing enough on it and WBT was holding on too strong. I honestly am also pleasantly surprised with all the success DFAU is having on rhythmic and urban. Personally, I think Circles or Stay The Night would be a great follow-up single to DFAU. While I love Say Something, I think it's too campy to be released during Grammy time. I hope that So Lonely isn't officially the 5th single from TEOM for the same reason. It would be a poor choice for a performance at the Grammys. I think Twista's camp should release it after Mimi releases her own 5th single (Either circles, STN or Mine Again) from TEOM.

Stay The Night is a bit campy for grammy time, too.
Circles or Mine Again would be nice.

Why do people like Stay the Night so much. That is one of the songs that I really don't care for at all, but countless people are always complimenting that song.

Hopefully "Circles" or "Mine Again" will become a single. Hopefully NOT because those singles will FLOP...there is no crossover appeal to those songs...it's better left as an album track. If anything on the album should be released it's "Stay the Night" or "Say Something"...hell I wouldn't even mind "Your Girl" being released during the summer or spring with an added verse or rap. That's a hot track.

Circles and Mine Again would only do good on Urban and Urban AC. They'd totally flop of Pop and Rhythmic.

New urban remix by DJ Clue features Styles P & Fabolous. New chorus and a new beat. Its pretty nice except Clue yells on it. Its on his upcoming retail compilation "The Professional 3"
